2 Pack - Honeywell 5800MINI Door/Window Transmitter (REPLACES DISCONTINUED HONEYWELL 5811)

These little guys are really small and compact. Programming them in was very easy.A couple of things to know:After you install the battery, blue and green LEDs indicate when you have contact with the magnet and when it transmits a signal respectively. The lights will turn off in about 15 minutes. They are also supposed to have the ability to display a red light when the battery meets a certain threshold and needs to be replaced.I've also seen some discussion as to which loop they are supposed to use. They use loop 1. If you let the keypad read the serial number by transmitting to it, it should automatically read Loop 1, but if it doesn't you can change it manually.

I purchased these sensors to replace an existing Honeywell 5816 sensor. They work flawlessly and are an excellent value. However, keep in mind that the shape is different, and I could have used the existing mounting plates and magnets if I had purchased a new 5816. That said, these are smaller and more unobtrusive than the 5816.

These work great; smaller than the full sized ones for less conspicuous installation. Also nice to have the test leds built in to make sure they are functioning properly.

The door/window items arrived on time and in good condition. They were easy to setup on my security system and a breeze to install. They have worked as expected for a couple of months now. I like their size much better than the full size door/window sensors.

A nice upgrade from the old bulky ones

I needed to replace some bulky sensors I had in order to install shutters on some of my windows but security company wanted to charge outrageous money so I searched amazon and so happy to find them at half that price and they work just perfect.

I have a wired system and when it was installed, almost 50 years ago , i had magnetic embedded sensors that were all on a series circuit. All were working well but were eventually going to fail..I left these in place (hidden) and installed the new Honeywell 5800 mini sensors on each window.I have 20 windows and now if one fails it will be an easy task to find out which one is not working.They are small and unobtrusive and are almost invisible with curtains etc.Best way to go..

I added these mini window sensors to enhance the capabilities of my alarm system. They work as expected and were easy to install.
