DrFoster Ubiquinol 200mg Coenzyme Q10 softgels helps joint pain caused by taking statins
My doctor recommended I start taking Coenzyme Q10 for joint pain that she suspected was caused by my need to take statin drugs, so I purchased DrFoster brand Coenzyme Q10.I have used other brands in the past, and most of them work to various degrees. The trick in taking CoQ10 is consistency and making sure you give it up to six weeks to become effective. Not all CoQ10 is created equally. I recently learned that Ubiquinol 200mg with vitamin E, black pepper, and PQQ is the most bioavailable form. This brand is perfect for me because it has all those ingredients, comes in a small soft gel that is 200mg strength, and is affordable. The best part is the price, as supplements can be very expensive. CoQ10 has been so effective for me, I would cut back on groceries to afford it. Thanks to DrFoster brand, I don't have to.Talk to your Dr. before taking any supplement, especially if you are on prescription medications.

Would Be Excellent Product if Not for Excessive, Unnecessary, Vitamin E (300%)
A physician told me that he took very few supplements but among them was CoQ10. He recommended that I look into doing the same. I decided to order this product from this company based on his advice—based, too, on what seems to be Dr Foster’s CoQ10 dosage, and the fact that the Dr Foster’s brand claims third-party testing and are manufactured in the US. However, I can’t continue to take this supplement because it has too much vitamin E in it for me to be assured that it has more benefits than risks. Since receiving the product, I have done a cursory look into vitamin E supplementation and can’t figure out why this anti-oxidant, at 300% of the RDA, is included with the CoQ10. For me, the inclusion of this much vitamin E makes me have to search for another source of CoQ10. Too bad, since so much about the Dr. Foster’s brand is appealing, including the fact that these pills are in soft gel form.Vitamin E is oil-based. It therefore accumulates in one’s body unlike water-based vitamins (such as B) that are routinely flushed out. There are concerns with taking too much vitamin E if you have bleeding conditions, a history or tendency toward heart attack or stroke. Additionally, if you have issues with liver disease or head or neck cancers or even diabetes, excess vitamin E is likely not helpful. There are correlations between excessive amounts of vitamin E and prostate cancer—and there are known interactions with common medications such as statins, vitamin K and niacin. While vitamin E toxicity occurs at higher levels than 300% per day, I prefer not to take any supplement in such excess. And, because I take a daily vitamin with a bit of vitamin E in it, as well, I would need to give up other supplementation to take this one.In the US we usually get enough vitamin E in food. Perhaps taking this Dr Foster supplement every other day would be a way to moderate the level of excess vitamin E, but I am choosing not to take this supplement because of the unnecessary 300% included vitamin in the mix and the potential for undesirable blood thinning in my case.
