Great kit and nice customer service. Solid structure I have stood on when I added white vinyl corrugated sheet roofing and front shades. If I had to do install again I would have either lowered front end (farthest from house) or raised the side next to the house end so rainwater would flow away from house but hind sight is 20/20.

12x16 Valencia Pergola / Turned out great. Did it 99% by myself (probably a bad idea in hindsight) but truly went together very well. Used high quality pt lumber, full extension kit, concrete bases for 4x4’s and extra shade kit. Had to use extra pvc glue and probably still could have used more. Was def a challenge to do by myself (I’m stubborn). Have fairly average to above average carpentry skills however directions were clear and I followed them to a T and had no difficulties. Called twice for support and NE Arbors reps were awesome answered all my questions with great insight and pressed on through the build. Would def recommend.

It was in my opinion a “medium” difficulty level to install, anyone with some common sense will have no problem doing it. Just make sure your posts are the right distance apart and they are level. The directions do not tell you how to get your height of your posts (84”) if your ground is not perfectly level 12 feet away from the house than at the house (and it never will be, even Concrete is pitched away from the house) you will have to use a laser level or a transit to calculate the proper height off of grade for your outside posts.Here’s a tip take a laser level on a tripod at any height put a mark on the house and a mark on the posts where your laser is, Then measure down from that mark to grade at the house. Take that measurement to your posts measure down from the line you made with the laser and put a mark at the bottom of your posts, then measure up your 84 inches and that’s where you cut the posts.I do recommend this product if you want a beautiful Pergola that is maintenance free.On a sidenote make sure you count everything before you start including every screw, I was short 25 screws and the company was more than happy to send them out to me.

Pergola is great, but installation was more effort than I anticipated. I took me nearly two whole days. In hindsight, I'm wishing I had considered purchasing the installation also. Lumbers cost was about $250 for us. Instructions are very well written and detailed. Quality of the vinyl is very good. The manufacturer includes 10% over-supply of fasteners for those of us that lose the occasional screw. Everything fit together nicely, but I found it hard to keep the very top/decorative rails completely straight as they get screwed down.

After gathering the other necessary materials together, my wife and I spent the better part of 3 days assembling this Pergola! The instructions are fairly clear, but having basic knowledge and understanding of construction skills is important. We were shorted about 50 screws, so had to substitute. Overall, we are happy with the result.

Very expensive and difficult to assemble. I had to spend a lot of money getting someone to assemble it and it took them several weeks, not to mention additional supplies that they needed to fortify it. It has only been up for a few weeks and it is already dirty and not easy to clean. I would’ve done a lot better buying wood and having someone build one from scratch.

Deceiving! The product does not come like the picture. It is missing the top cross bars called the shade kit. It doesn’t state anywhere when purchasing that it comes separate unless you download manual go to page 18 and read the fine print. Extremely pissed that they would trick the customer. I want my money back.

This was not a complicated project at all, we had it up within six hours with the help of two other people. The 2 x 6 16 PT was the heaviest an awkwardest part of the project. But as you can see it is beautiful. We added extra square lattice panels due to the fact we get the afternoon sun our house sits east and west. It complemented the Pergola perfectly.
