Great Product, Makes a good base coat for Sadolin Classic Wood Stain.
I have used Sadolin Classic Wood Stain on my house and conservatory for many years. The problem with this product (and all other similar I have tried) is that where it is exposed to the sun it peels off. Constant repainting results in the finish getting darker and darker. I decided to strip off all the stain on my hard wood conservatory and start again. I put two coats of this preservative onto the bare wood and it absorbed very well and provided a tough and golden brown wood coloured finish which I painted over easily with one coat of Sadolin Classic. The finish is excellent and feels really tough. I am hoping that this will result in a longer life than previously. I have tried Sadolin Extra Durable Wood Stain in the past. The problem with this is its a high build stain and goes on like a varnish over Sadolin Classic and I cannot repaint over it with Sadolin Classic when some of it has peeled off and it needs repainting. Hopefully using the preservative above will solve the problem.The preservative is easy to apply, goes a long way and the golden brown colour looks great.

The item was well packaged and dispatched and received in a timely manner. The barrettine wood protective treatment is going to be used to refresh our arbour. Due to the unstable weather at present, this product has been unable to be applied. However, the arbour has previously been painted with barrettine wood preservative treatment last year. It was easy to apply and the result was very satisfactory. I recommend the product if your wooden garden furniture is to remain in good condition and retain a pleasing appearance.

Really easy to apply. We recoat our summerhouse with this every other year. It is quite a thin liquid, so runs could be an issue if you don't make sure it is evenly applied.

Wood preserves
Very thin& runny but covered well and soaked quite quickly put a second coat on to preserve the tall wooden gate which didn’t take long to dry looks alot it better I was told about this by a neighbour who is good with wood

Leaves fence panels looking great
I applied to new fence panels using a paint sprayer. Easy to apply and the finished effect looks great
