Yes, while standing and facing the front of the chair; please grab both sides of the seat, then simply and softly kick your foot up to disengage the foot rest and the chair will fold. It is a very sturdy chair, but after a few uses it will become easier to fold. Please reply back and let me know if this works OK. If not I can give you my phone number and walk you through it.
