Great itch relief!
Why did you choose this product over others?:This is an absolute lifesaver for someone with Eczema, when I get hot at night and I start scratching, I don't want to use a fan as it drires my skin up. This instantly cools me down, saves me from going and getting an ice pack from downstairs in the freezer. I keep these on my bed near me and when I need them, I'll just pop them. You do instantly feel the relief from the instant cooling pack. I'd say the cold feeling lasts a good ten minutes, which for me is enough to do the job in cooling me down and allow me to sleep. I always take this out with me in my handbag. It does get pricey in the long run.Using this everyday over a ice pack from the freezer, but it's the convenience you're paying for

Value for money, quick to get cold.
Value for money, quick to get cold, not too big or bulky to carry in first aid box. Stays cold about 20 minutes.

Perfect little ice packs
I wanted to have a filled out first aid kit, just for the sake of being prepared, and so I wanted to get some ice packs that didn't require freezing, not to mention it'll be really nice in summer to just be able to pop one and have a cold pack.I would recommend when you try to "pop" the inner pack, don't use your finger tips, put it between the palm of your hands and press, you can put more pressure than you think to pop the inner pack and I've run over one of these with a chair wheel on accident and the outer packaging still didn't burst so that's a major plus.So far I've used these for a swollen knee, tooth ache (just holding it over my cheek) and to help numb the itching in an area and it worked perfectly for all these situations. How long it stays cool seems to vary on where you place it, if the area is already warm, and what you wrap it in but in all cases it lasts at minimum of 20 minutes which seems ideal.I'll definitely be buying more of these when I run out.

Avoid!
I don't just write reviews that hurt but wasting £17 hurts me and I wouldn't want anyone to gi through that. Please avoid! Four came already caked. I have tried 13 now in total. 7 already caked. 2 hardly warm and totally ineffective and 4 simply does not change temperature at all. To make things worse, they wouldn't accept returns! Waste of so much money.

They work, but difficult to activate and only last 20-30 mins
I only managed to get these heat packs to activate after seeing the instructions on some different brand cold packs which said to fold the inner bag in half and squeeze - as they’re nearly impossible to activate by just squeezing them normally as the official instructions stateIf you have any issues with your hands - do not buy these - it takes a lot of strength and time to activate these as the inner bag is ridiculously strongI originally thought I had gotten defective heat packs as I couldn’t get them to activate by following the instructionsThey do get nice and hot (not too hot, can apply directly to the skin immediately) - but they only last maybe 20 mins before they’re down to just slightly warm
