no instructions, passed customs as a "bead" Dept of agriculture deceived
First, there are no instructions or packing slip or anything. It took me a long time to associate this clear packet of unmarked seeds from a sender in the solomon islands with this order. They came through customs declared as a "bead" not planting seeds. This is a violation of US dept of agriculture regulations - look it up since I am not allowed to post a link to the law

It's growing! Be patient
It took a month or more for the seed to germinate. At first it looked like a very small green spot, but with patience and attention after a few months it put out 3 small leaves, then added a few more then a few more. It is now about 10" tall with as many leaves, looking healthy. I have re-potted twice as the plant grew and that seemed to help the roots expand which resulted in more growth in the crown. We live in SC, weather is hot and humid and I keep it outside, in dappled shade next to a water feature. It seems happy and I expect to repot it again in early fall. Although our winters are usually mild, I plan to take it indoors this year and place in a bright but indirect sunny window. Next spring I willto plant in the ground outdoors near the water feature and expect increased growth hopefully to knee height. At that point, with good rooting developed, I plan to leave it outdoors, well-mulched over the winter. We will see!?

Seeds didn’t germinate
The seeds did not germinate; although they were planted in fresh potting soil and watered appropriately. Very disappointed. Will not buy from that vendor again.

I followed instructions on planting gunnera seeds, I am experienced in "gardening".Seeds never germinated! Had in several different pots/starters, nothing.
