BistoGravy Powder 200g

Very nice for making gravy - no weird flavors like those 'gravy packets' but you have to add stock.

It dissolved great and has great flavor.

This first time I heard of this product was when we were visiting my husband's grandfath er's homeland in Ireland in 2011. It was recommended to our daughter by a grocery store clerk in Dingle to use in place of flour or cornstarch for the gravy (sauce) for the meals's entree. For a takeaway from a country that was high on our list, what better recommendation can we give?

I love to use Bisto in my stews. Value for money a little goes a long way. Very good quality!

My mother was english and this is really the only gravy my family has loved, in fact, they call it Grandma's gravy. It is so easy to make a pot roast and the gravy at the same time. I season and flour the roast, then brown it, drain out any oil, mix a couple of tablespoons of bisto with water, pour it over the roast, add vegs or an onion, cook it a few hours at 350 with foil over it. The gravy thickens while the roast cooks. I don't use anything else with beef or pork roasts.

I add beef stock to this and it really helps with the flavor. Mix like cornstarch first with water then add to sauces or gravies. It's a good meat browner for steaks and hamburgers,sprinkle a little dry mix on top or the meat before cooking. It's ok but not excellent for taste when used alone. It's not a salted tasting product.

Been using Bisto for decades to make gravy and this Bisto is the only way to go.

I can no longer find this item in the grocery store. The box was bigger than o had expected and I’m very pleased with the product.
