Best-friends sibling + Inability to stay away from each other = Forbidden romance amazingness!!
OMG! This series Y’all! I fell in love with Knox and JoJo in the first book but I REALLY fell hard in love with Cam and Blair. I am a total Super Sucker 😍for the best-friend’s sibling trope. Add in the sports romance, secret forbidden aspect of it and I am OBSESSED. 🤩I love the whole emotional ride I went on with this story. 😮💨These characters struggle with knowing they should not be together, but they can’t stay away from each other. Their chemistry is palpable. Even with that we get an agonizingly delicious slow-burn. Bro-code really creates a problem when you can’t just deny fate's inevitability.Cam literally had his life mapped out. His plans were in play and everything was going amazingly. He was well on his way to his dream of being drafted to the NFL when his best friend’s sister transfers to Colorado University and throws a monkey wrench in all his plans.Trust me when I tell you you’re going to enjoy every deliciously tension-filled, fist clenching in angst, stolen, swoony , and sweet moment.🥰 You will be hanging on every single syllable from start to finish and still want more. I know I did. I really liked how they navigated the challenges they faced and how the author used the opportunity to bring awareness and knowledge to real world issues that real people face, everyday. It was handled with truth, care, facts, and class.I cannot get enough of Author Monica Murphy’s writing. Can’t wait for the next book!Five Fantastic Footballs.🏈✨ 🏈✨🏈✨🏈✨🏈✨

QB1 has met his match and she just so happens to be his best friend’s sister.
I had high expectations for this book because I felt the stage was set a little too heavily in Playing Hard to Get. And I’m happy to report - Cam and Blair did not disappoint.Ultimately, knowing how much of Cam and Blair’s story happened behind the scenes Knox and JoJo’s story in Playing Hard to Get makes a lot more sense now.I can tell you one thing, I was not prepared for how complex Camden Fields was. On the outside he looks calm, steady, and sure, but deep down he’s broken, lost, and struggling to feel worthy. Enter Blair Maguire.Blair has loved Camden Fields since she met him for the first time her senior year of high school. But because of the fact Cam is her brother’s best friend, he’s never looked at her as anything outside of his best friend’s littler sister.New to Colorado State, Blair has her sites set in Cam and she’s not going down without a fight. She makes it crystal clear to Cam where she stands and what she wants: him.Can struggles with his feelings. He wants her to but struggles with his loyalty to Knox and his self worth of being good enough for her. He grew up in a broken family. He’s never been in a relationship. He doesn’t think he has what it takes to make her happy. Finally tensions boil over, and the two of them give into the undeniable chemistry between the two of them. Blair desperately doesn’t want to be Cam’s dirty little secret and Cam isn’t ready to take the next step. Blair ultimately walks away, telling Cam to figure it out or she’s going to have to move on. And from that point on this book is down 👏🏼 right 👏🏼 addictive 👏🏼.I loved so much of this book! The beginning was a little bit too much back and forth and hot and cold for me, even though it makes sense why it was like they at the time, but let me tell you all the end makes up for it in spades. I loved the mental health representation in this book. I loved how Blair’s faith in Cam never wavered, even when she has every right for it to.But my favorite part of this book was probably Chapter 36, when Cam tells Knox. We learned early on in Playing Hard to Get what an overprotective a-hole Knox can be when it comes to his sister. But I called it then that it was all talk. If someone like I don’t know his best friend walked in and loved his sister, would Knox really throw a fit about it? My guess was no he wouldn’t and when push finally came to shove that’s exactly how Knox reacted….and I loved it.A major reason why Cam didn’t take the next step with Blair was out of fear of how Knox would react. And I absolutely LOVED Knox’s reaction. I’m always down for a good brother’s best friend trope, but how the brother/best friend reacts usually is a make or break it for me and Knox’s reaction was perfection. He’s such a good brother and best friend. I love that he’s happy for the two of them. He doesn’t stand in their way, or throw a fit, or threaten Cam. He loves his best friend, he loves his sister and he’s happy they love each other. I loved it. I’m so glad Knox pulled thru and reacted just how I expected he would when finding out this information. And the proclaiming of love on national TV, be still my heart 🥹 how freaking sweet?!Cam and Blair were written in the stars from the word go regardless if Cam could see it or not. Going along this painfully beautiful journey with them was quite the bumpy ride at times, but the ending was simply beautiful.Cannot wait to read sassy little Ruby Maguire’s story next. I knew from the second we met Ace that he was likely going to play the lead in Ruby’s love story. And I’m not sure if sweet, charismatic Ace is ready for Hurricane Ruby, but I’m sure excited to watch that all play out. 😂Great second book in this series. If you’ve read Playing Hard to Get and haven’t read this book, I highly recommend you take the plunge! I’ll be the first to admit, I was leery, but it makes you appreciate both love stories so much more!
