It helped get the job done
I bought this for my stepson. We pulled the engine out of his car to replace the rear main seal. It was a great aid to get the job done, and it was helpful to have a reference book in addition to online videos. I believe it will help him with future projects.

Adequate but years and engine options get combined in some procedures.
Book arrived on time sealed in plastic. Information is as expected. Decent but not robust. It is larger than the average non euro Chilton book. Several typos where the meaning is understood. Quite a few references to illustrations with bold type “see illustration(s)” as opposed to “see illustration 4.9”. The majority of the black and white illustrations are numbered but the text misses many opportunities to specify which illustration they are promoting you to see. Single procedures like battery removal and replacement in the engine electrical systems chapter components steps for 4 engine options split between pre-2009 and post 2010. With all of that combined detail there was no mention of a secondary hold down device that connects a woven strap with a metal tab that holds the bottom of the battery tray/box to the positive terminal. I’ve never seen such a device and the book did not even mention it. Some procedures require owner’s manual or other supplementary references. For example the automatic transaxle fluid change has a section on fluid level check that states “Using the Driver Information Center, display the transmission fluid temperature.” So good luck with that as there is no further instruction on accessing that info. On models with a transmission dipstick, a level check states, “With the transaxle fluid at the proper temperature, remove the dipstick.” The proper temperature is not stated on that step but one may infer that it is the same temperature that is referenced in the step that directs info center data (180°-200° F). There is a note for getting temp from a scan tool. Electronic parking brake is covered.

Nice info. Needed Lucerne manual.
Same book as the Haynes manual. Same publisher same book. Wish I didn't buy them both. I was thinking I might get different info, but I guess not.

DIY must have for car maintenance
If you are looking to save some cash by doing some DIY auto maintenance, this is nearly essential for common person not trained in car repair. It doesn't have everything that you might need fixed or replaced, but it does have all the important stuff to keep you moving down the road, and keeping everyone safe
