No taste
I made cricket brownies for April Fools Day for work with this and the overall consensus was that they tasted just like other brownies! Honestly, expensive to plan on using long-term but I would recommend for tasting. And maybe one day people will be more open to eating bugs! (PS for anyone who gets the idea to re-use my prank, please inform people before having them eat them. Crickets might cause allergies in people with shell fish allergies. The prank is still really fun when they know.)

but my taste buds say it taste like beef liver that's cooked
the idea of eating insects started on the mind, but the nutritional value outweighs it all. I was surprised at the flavor. Some people describe the flavor as nutty, but my taste buds say it taste like beef liver that's cooked. It tastes is like the beef liver I use to cook. Overall, I do love the cricket powder and I plan to purchase again soon! Highly surprised, yes I can eat crickets!Thank you!

Perfect for smoothies
I wanted to buy crickets and its crickets! Lol. Honestly its that slightly weird gross thing i do because i am a former bodybuilder who wanted to go vegan w out losing muscle definition. What i have discovered1. No i cant get in 60gm protein from this w out feeling tortured or living off smoothies2. NEVER add it to a savory dish like beans or lentils because you will taste it.That said, i believe stone age vegans ate insects and they are an essential part of a healthy vegan diet.I am glad this product exists and it works g8 in smoothies, acai bowls etc.Not everything was ment to be fun so suck it up and enjoy the benefits!

Not a pleasant flavor at all.
We eat all the healthy foods - foods that generally don't taste that great but are super good for you. I'm writing this review to offer an honest taste based opinion on this cricket flour. It may be healthy and a good source of protein, but until we are reduced to having to consume bugs for protein in this country, I'll stick with the traditional meat/poultry/fish sources. Sounds stuck up, I know, but I've tried baking with this twice. The first time in pumpkin bread where I replaced half the amount of flour called for with cricket flour. It was disgusting - so much so that I threw the loaf away with only a bite taken. I don't like to waste food. The next time I make shortbread cookies and only replaced 1/4 of the flour. The recipe called for 2 cups of flour and I used 1/4 cup of cricket flour and 1 3/4 cups regular flour. Everything else I left the same, as before. The cooking aroma is not pleasant and it's definitely not something you'd want in the oven if you were selling your house and wanting that fresh baked goods smell for a showing. I tried one hot from the oven - yuck. Then I let them cook completely and tried another cookie. Yuck again. The flavor is not nutty as some reviewers said, it's buggy. I feel bad that all these crickets died for my culinary experiments. Maybe I'll use the rest of the bag of flour on dog treats so at least they didn't die for nothing.

Cricket Powder
I wasn't wearing my glasses so I thought for the price I was buying 2.2# of this product, not 0.22#. It's 1 cup when I put it into a measuring cup not packed down, and it says on the label the serving size is 10 servings per package. Do better at reading the nutrition label than I did. It's a fairly good source of potassium, but I thought it would be high in protein (0 protein). The taste is interesting, somewhat like nuts. I feel like rubbing my legs together to break into song.

Seems kind of miraculous..
I don't know what it is about this product, or perhaps cricket derived protein supplements in general, but this really seems to increase my endurance when it comes to my exercise routine. Even when I'm done, I'm not nearly as depleted as what I would be if I didn't consume it pre-workout. I don't get the same effect from whey protein supplements even at 6 times the dose of this. For whatever reason, this definitely does the trick for me.
