PERFECT FOR ME!
This Bible is exactly what I had hoped it would be. I saw it at Barnes and Noble for a lot more in a hard back cover. I think I paid $29 and it says $44 right inside the back cover. I think that was the price at B&N, but that one was not leather or even leather-like.I really wanted it for prayer journaling as much as for taking notes. I use My Utmost for His Highest Journal right now---also a wonderful, wonderful selection. But that is a daily reading about a verse. It's very good, but obviously reading the Bible would be better. So I was all set to create something at Office Max that would give me a daily Bible reading where I could also journal. Then I discovered this Bible. I just got it today and I am in sheer heaven. I read the first page and also wrote my thoughts about the page as well as my prayer journal thoughts. It is not a standard sized book, it's shorter than most Bibles. I really like it. Each page is divided into three columns and two have scripture and the third one is for journaling or taking notes. The cover is soft so you can fold it back. I really, really love this part and if you get the My Utmost Journal, I highly recommend the leather-like cover. It looks like leather and everyone admires mine. I need to do a review of that book, because it is awesome. Now, when I was trying to decide which cover to buy, I read through ALL the reviews of the different types of covers. It was totally confusing---I fully expected this to be a hard bound cover, because one of the reviews of the other leather cover said it was hard. But this one is flexible so you can bend back one side, which I do all the time when I am writing. I think this is a really important feature, having journaled for forever. The print is larger than in my small Bibles, but probably smaller than regular Bibles, I'm not sure. It's perfect for me. Also, the place to put notes has small lines--- again, perfect for me.The binding appears to be glued, as opposed to stitched. I read a review on another version that said it would not hold up over decades of wear. That's probably true. I didn't buy it to be my go-thru-life Bible---quite the contrary, I will buy this Bible every year and keep filling it up. I do think it is bound well and is very, very attractive and will last a lifetime under normal wear. I will go back to mine to look at things, as I do with my other prayer journals, but that's not a lot of wear. The two star reviewer is so unfair. Amazon should delete that review. She gave it two stars because it does not have a concordance. Come on---my concordance is the size of three encyclopedias. It's just too cool a Bible to make or break it on a heavily edited version of a concordance in her Bible. If the publisher should read this, it would be nice to have some maps, a moleskin pocket on the inside of the rear flap, and a moleskin elastic band. I really like the size, but a regular sized one would give more room for notes, probably another whole column per page. I'd really like that. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR MAKING IT IN A FLEXIBLE COVER! AND THE CONCEPT OF THIS BIBLE IS A GREAT IDEA---LONG OVERDUE!Edited: After a week with this Bible, I REALLY, REALLY wish it was full sized so I could have more writing room!

Better than other wide-margin versions
I spent four weeks looking for a Bible that would encourage more of an academic study of the scripture, primarily through note-taking (I'm definitely one for writing in the margins); I had almost settled on choosing either the Zondervan NASB Wide-Margin or the Cambridge University Press NASB Wide-Margin. I found this Bible superior to both for the purposes of note-taking, reading and portability. There are very generous _lined_ margins that encourage you to write, and are almost a whole column in width itself, on both sides of every page (even the front and back matter!). This Bible is still very portable compared to other wide-margin editions (it's a little square-ish, but it's not nearly as clumsy to carry as the Zondervan Wide-Margin). The pages are more of a warm yellow color, and the text very pleasing to look at, which makes it superb for reading. I purchased the mocha bonded leather edition; the binding is very soft and the whole Bible very flexible. I think my only negatives are that (1) if you truly want an indepth study Bible, you may want a reference Bible instead, as this edition only has footnotes (I plan on using the internet anyway for cross-references, concordances and the like), and (2) the pages curl just a little after writing in the margins (the solution, of course, is to write on the other side as well!). I am very pleased to have found this Bible, and for anyone looking to scribble their train of thought into the margins as I do, I'd strongly recommend it.

Excellent
Personally I have never wrote in my Bible because is very hard, who knows what you will think in a couple of years. Yet overall my husband didn’t like it so he gave it to me, it was the first time I ever journal in the 10 years I have been saved. The margins are great for notes and the print is descent size

Beautiful Bible.
I love the layout of this journaling Bible. I also like that a beautiful brown leather is available. The print was too small for me, so I am returning it for another option. But the return is not because of a defective or substandard quality.

Wonderful Bible!
The media could not be loaded. I love the look of my new bible! The pages have good space to take notes and write down thoughts. It is slightly smaller than I expected, but I still like it. The only thing I would be aware of is that the cover is not hard, so it needs to be on a hard surface for you to do any note taking on.

A great Bible to write in
The media could not be loaded. I love all the extra space on the side of each page to write notes about what you have read.
