The last time I bought barber shears was in 1967 (yes, I'm old). They have served me well enough for over 50 years but recently those shears went missing (since found) so a new pair was in order. First, these shears are sharp, probably as sharp as my old shears were in 1967-72 but aren't any longer. The new ones are a pleasure to use. I do have one objection, however. The sparkly, blue plastic padding inside the finger holes is pretty in a Barbie (not barber) sort of way but reduces the space in those holes slightly for large, male hands like mine. Do not think that it's difficult to get your thumb and finger in or out of those holes. Rather they provide comfort but a little resistance when one is done using the shears. I expect that the plastic is a relief to barbers and hairdressers while being less necessary for a 3-times-a-week beard trimmer like myself. All in all an excellent value for the money and a product much needed by many bearded men who are working on the "Duck Dynasty" look-alike beards.

Because of the virus I've had to cut my own hair (hopefully not for much longer!). I was looking for a pair of scissors like the barber uses. I tried the ones I had laying around but they weren't good for cutting hair. Most of the scissors on Amazon cost way more than I wanted to spend for short-time use. This pair was pretty inexpensive. The shipping took awhile but it was definitely worth the weight. The scissors are made in Canada (who knew?) and cut like a charm. So sharp and efficient. No, I'm not attaching a photo of the results. The scissors are way better at cutting than I am. Well worth the minimum cost.

I bought another barber scissors in which the holes were too small for my fingers and thumb. I am a 6'2" male with large hands. I needed to return the first scissors, and I hate to waste time on returns. Thankfully a previous review of this scissors noted larger holes, so I bought this one and am happy with it. It is 7 1/2" long, which doesn't seem that big, especially for larger hands. Most of the barber scissors are 5 1/2" or 6" and it was hard to find one 7 1/2". I wanted a scissors to occasionally trim my eyebrows and sideburns, and this does the job well. Quality is decent. I am glad I found this one.

They are decent shears in my opinion, especially for this price.

The Promax scissors have a very nice weight to them. They have a gel insert at the holes as not to hurt your fingers while using them. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a five is because once you get.to the very tip they don’t cut well.

The scissors were just what I needed. Replacing the hair cutting scissors ✂️ I bought decades ago in Cosmetology school. They worked well for me to cut my own. My next customer (the hubby) asked me to cut his, too. He was even complimented while on a video conference for work. These sanitized easily in the Barbicide. If they work well for a Beauty School Dropout, like me, they might work well for you. Caution, they are very sharp.
