Easy to install, works perfect.
Arrived quickly, well packaged, undamaged. I've done these before, but it was a ten minute install to include cutting a 2x4 to hold the hood up while I did the install. Just one of them actually held the hood up, but just barely.

These fit my ‘09 Mercury Mountaineer perfectly. Very easy to remove the old struts with prying the clips up. New ones snap on with a push. (You will need to hold the hood up with a board or have a friend help.)

They worked fine after installation.
These have only been installed in my 2006 Mountaineer vehicle for a couple of months. I don't go under the hood often, I was doing a basic fluids checks when the hood just didn't want to stay up. So I bought the QiMox Hood Lift Struts. The hood now has much more up tension to stay open than the original OEM struts which were 14 years old. I did several hood up / down checks after installation, no issues. I now have to give a really good pull to close the hood. I recommend these.

If you own an older vehicle with hood struts,you know how it is when the hood does not stay up. these are so easy to install my 8 year old did them for me. they last for years and years.Just do them both at the same time or you will have issues.
