Happy with my purchase
My first parfait chunky purchase and I am very happy. This yarn has worked up great in projects and is very soft. There is some shedding at times, but minimal and not an issue for me. I now want several other colors!

GREAT YARN!
My daughter crochets and is very particular about the yarn she uses. I'm happy to say that this yarn checks all of her boxes. She loves the thickness and weight, ease of use and that it doesn't knot easily, overall quality, the fact that it doesn't shed, and price! Whoooo! Her creations are durable and feel expensive when she uses this product. I highly recommend!

Big! Hard to hold with heavy projects.
This yarn is very nice for the most part. Both my daughter and I have RA and this is so big that when crocheting stuffed animals it gets hard to hang onto the "critter" if it's a bigger one. Other than that one issue, it's great yarn, has good texture and works nicely, not splitting like some other yarn do.

Snaps easy, unforgiving - waste of time and energy
I typically work with Big Twist Posh, but with Joann's closing I have to find an alternative.Sooooooo many crocheters SWEAR by Premier Parfait and there a lot of beautiful colors, so I was really excited to try. It arrived quickly, was reasonably priced, and when it got here the color was beautiful and the texture so, so soft. Here's the problem: this is incredibly difficult to work with. I thought Jumbo Bernat Blanket didn't want to make a magic circle for me - that was child's play compared to this. I tried making a magic circle three times and snapped the yarn trying to pull it closed every single time. It got to the point where I was gently tugging it closed after EACH stitch, and I still snapped it at the end. So, okay, it doesn't magic circle. I did the alternative - two chains with all the stitches in one. Not as neat as a magic circle, but I can deal. Snapped the yarn on that, too. I finally made a teeny tiny magic circle, used a bigger hook to make the stitches, then sized down to the actual hook I needed, and THAT was the solution I had to settle with.Problem 2: this yarn doesn't frog, either.I made a mistake and tried to frog my row; lo and behold, the yarn got caught and snapped as soon as I tried to pull it out.I used half of my first roll just trying to start a project and ended up having to toss the project halfway through because the yarn snapped there, too.Summary: this yarn has 0 forgiveness and won't accept any tugging without snapping. I am sad that I hated working with it so much and am frankly astonished that no one else seemed to have this problem.
