1) Shampoo hair made with Manic Panic Prepare to Dye. Apply to freshly washed dry hair 2) Empty the desired amount in the coloring bowl and apply evenly with a tint brush 3) Apply 1/2\" away from the scalp instead of applying to the scalp. Thoroughly saturates hair Comb evenly until foam is formed. 4) Cover hair with plastic cap. Leave for 30 minutes or more. 5) Rinse in cold water away from face and body until hair is virtually transparent

You do not need to lighten darker hair but it will only tint over whatever color you have so if you want a bright turquoise result you'll need to lighten. \n\nI have ginger hair and I lighten my tips only and ombré the turquoise in. If you need to get the colour out, you can wash in very warm water with a clarifying shampoo, a mixture of dawn soap and baking soda, or use a soap cap.
