It is an excellent amp. I’ve owned mine for over a year now. I use it every weekend at band practice and at home. Goes great with whatever pedals you use with it.

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112 Enclosure

Q: Is this the cabinet to be used with the head or the amplifier (with volume controls, drive, etc)?

This is an extension cab to be used in conjunction with the hot rod deluxe amp. It is just a speaker cab and has no controls.

Q: Some reviews say this is a 40 watt amp.but i see the ad states its a 80 watt.amp which is it?

This picture is of the extension cabinet...extra speaker...which is rated for 80 watts. The Hot Rod Deluxe IV Combo Amp only comes 40 watts.

Q: Is the Hot Rod 112 extension cab ported?

The Hot Rod Deluxe is like the Junior III, and the only difference is the size of speak ( 8 inch) and it's cabinet size, I can say that the only port in the front is where the speaker is mounted ( for the Junior III). P.S. I purchased the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe which arrive missing a circuit-board mounting screw. I sent it back for the Junior III.
