Q: how effective is this iron on raising ferritin levels?

Very! I just found out that in increased my ferritin levels from 18 (Sept) to 40 (Jan). I was so happy!!! Will definitely continue. Nothing else was helping, I was even considering iron infusions already. So so happy.

There are 26 mg of elemental iron in each Blood Builder tablet. The iron in this product is in a FoodState form, meaning that it is in the complex form in which iron occurs in food. The food source MegaFood uses to deliver iron is the whole food nutritional yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The 520 mg refers to the weight of S. cerevisiae included in the tablet to deliver the 26 mg of iron.

RE: dean's answer: The question asks what form of iron (which is a mineral) does this contain. Cyanocobalamin is a form of a vitamin - vitamin B12 , not iron.

To the person who stated they didn't feel anything, did you get your bloodwork tested? Don't rely on feelings! Get your iron level tested when you start this and then get it tested about 1 month after. Your actual blood work will tell whether or not your iron levels are up. Remember, if you take other things, like coffee, that will affect how you "feel", so you need to go by actual tests to determine if your iron levels increase.

It helps me to have good quality sleep
