Q: Oxbow, can you please make a larger size in the young rabbit food? i go thru a bag on only like 5 days with two small rabbits. thanks.

Our Garden Select Young Rabbit only currently comes in the 4lb size but I would be happy to pass your feedback on to our innovation team. For your reference, our Essentials Young Rabbit does come in larger sizes (5, 10, and 25lb). Q: Whats the difference between Essentials and Garden Select?

All Oxbow food lines are nutritionally correct, uniform foods that meet the daily nutritional needs of pets. They are veterinarian-recommended, fixed formulas made with premium ingredients. In other words, no one Oxbow diet is “better” than another and all meet the specific needs of the species and stage for which they are formulated. What makes each line special is that each features an ingredient profile that speaks to specific customer and pet preferences. Our Essentials line is our flagship formula with traditional ingredients made with either alfalfa or timothy hay (depending on age) and is available in a full range of species and life-stages. While the ingredients in our Garden Select food line lend unique tastes and textures for the pet through garden-inspired ingredients and three types of grass hay while providing a non-GMO purchasing option for the pet parent. Q: Can this be used for a young squirrel?

It is generally recommended to feed rodent blocks to help reach the high protein and fat level squirrels require. This can be achieved by feeding either our Essentials Mouse Young Rat or Essentials Adult Rat formulas. We also strongly encourage you to reach out to a wild-life savvy veterinarian to ensure your squirrel’s specific nutritional requirements are being met.
