great for french drain
I used this for a french drain project in my steep sloped yard to divert excess storm water. The fabric is tough and yet it allows water to flow easily through it. I used it as a soil separator by wrapping it completely around the rock and drainage lines. This should keep the soil from eventually mixing up with the rocks and plugging up the drain. Only negative is it is hard to cut with regular scissors. I found some $10 scissors at harbor freight that work great. Note that it does not come in rolls like some pics show. It comes folded but shouldn't be much of a problem. Great product!

Did it's job, used on Pond project as underlayment and over EPDM liner
I found that using this on top of the pond liner made it easier to apply sticky camouflage . It protects the rubber liner from sun rays and sharp objects. I smeared some pond foam onto the edges of the pond underlayment and put on dried leaves, wood chips, etc. Now you can't see the liner as easily.

Not a roll. Came like folded blanket. Product looks very durable
The product looks thick and durable for a landscape fabric which is what we wanted. 6 oz weight. We are going to use it at the top of our slope bounded by huge boulders. The top however needs this landscape blanket and then we will add small rock. As it is now before the project, the mulch that was there just blows or washes away. We just need rock to hold down dirt and will not plant anything as no water source. It comes with a matte side and a shinier side. My husband researched and found that matte side goes down for better drainage. It cam folded like a blanket instead of a roll. My husband didn't care as he thinks it will be easier to lay out vs possible having the roll runaway from him. we have 125 linear feet to lay. We have yet to start the project so can not judge it more.

French drain
I bought this to use as a soil separator in my small French drain project. I can’t say how it will work long term but it was pretty much what I had in mind and couldn’t find in the store. Water flows easily through the fabric and it seems sturdy. I can tear it yes, but it does take some effort. My order came as one sheet, not in pieces as the listing notes. I can’t speak for the long term usefulness as there hasn’t been much rain this summer.

Exactly as described
This fabric was being used for a French drain and was precisely what we needed. And it came in a 5’ x 100’ sheet (instead of in pieces as the company said that it might). I assume they sometimes sell end of roll remnants as part of a large size order but I’m thankful tha we received a single sheet. Easy to work with; cut easily with regular kitchen scissors.

ONE GIANT MAT
I bought the "UnderGuard 5 ft. x 100 ft Geotextile Underlayment" and it came folded up like a mat, unlike the image shown. (not even folded that well.) I truly dont know about the material/durability yet, but it does seem pretty nice and perhaps a strong product. (on a roll sure would have been nice.)2 WEEKS LATER, FOLLOW UP/ THIS FABRIC IS SURPRISINGLY TOUGH AND I AM CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL LAST MANY MANY YEARS AS A SILT FABRIC THAT I HAVE USED IN AN UNDERGROUND FRENCH DRAIN.

Quality Underlayment Material
I purchased this product for a landscape project and for a French drain pipe application. The product was thicker than what's sold in the big box stores. Perfect Solution for my project. We ordered a second "roll". And possibly need a third roll. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting a quality Underlayment.
