The quality, precision performance, smooth reeling and tough as nails. I recieved my Quantum Vapor PT 25 in early January and matched it with a Quantum Vapor rod after much research and questions about how to do it from the resident pro at Quantum. I started fishing around late March after ice out and ended up fishing for 80 days not consecutive days but the last time I fished was mid September and I caught 27 largemouth bass in 2.5 hours. I specifically bought and built the combo for panfish/bass and it preformed flawlessly. The 6 year factory warranty played a key part also.

Always used Shimano Reels. Not sure why but the last few I have purchased have fail in less than a year. I bought this reel to replace failed reels. So far I’m impressed with the quality and design. I would say the reels surpass my Shimano reels in function and design. I suspect they will serve me a long time but only time will tell.

I order one at first and enjoyed the reel enough to buy a second one so I could take others fishing with me when I go. The material it is made from is quality and IT CAME UNDAMAGED. I can't st that about other reels/rod setups I ordered. I'm going fishing today if she let's me.

Ordered one and it made nasty noise right of of the box, exchanged it for another one thinking I could've just got a defective one and nope the next one felt probably worse than the first one. I recommend staying away from this reel, definitely better reels for less.

First, I have to apologize to Amazon as I originally purchased a Quantum reel from a small fishing bait shop in Bracey, VA. (Located on Virginia side of Lake Gaston)So, I originally bought a Quantum Kinetic PT reel that broke after the 1st time fishing with it as the anti-reverse clutch broke. Since I bought this reel as NEW from a local shop, Quantum honored the warranty & sent me a replacement Vapor PT equivalent as the Kinetic has been discontinued for quite some time. (Part for fixing the reel was discontinued as well)Took the 1st Vapor PT to my in-law's lake to cast from the dock with a Whopper Plopper & the reel made a strange knocking feel when winding in the cast. I called customer service & they were gracious enough to send me a replacement Vapor reel. Unfortunately, the 2nd Vapor reel made the same knocking feel when winding in a Whopper Plopper & I thought I would definitely be stuck with a reel that has "issues."Contacted Quantum-Zebco customer service & explained what's happening with the replacement reel. To my surprise, they kept their word of "complete customer satisfaction" and sent me a different model reel to see if that corrects the issue.I have to say, I'm COMPLETELY satisfied with Quantum's customer service & will definitely buy from them again because of their fantastic customer service. Maybe I just rec'd a reel from a bad batch that was built on a “Friday-Monday” like in the car industry, but I know other users love this reel. If you experience an issue with a Quantum reel that's under warranty, you can feel confident that they will stand behind their product which is a great feeling when you're spending big money on a high end Quantum reel!
