Photography has been my primary hobby for many years, and lately I have become more and more interested in portrait photography using strobes. But I like to turn the hard light of a strobe into the soft light that is less harsh and more flattering, especially for children and ladies. I bought a Glow 34 inch beauty dish / soft box, and I liked it so much I bought a second one so that I have more lighting options. Some lighting accessories are frighteningly expensive, and difficult to assemble and set up. These units are inexpensive (comparatively), and they are the easiest to set up and take down of any I have used. And on top of that I believe the quality is good enough that they will last for years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I recently purchased the Glow EZ Lock 34 Inch Silver Folding SOFTBOX with Speed Ring and I’m very happy with my purchase. The softbox is easy to set up and comes with 2 layers of diffusion material and an egg crate grid. The light coming from this softbox is beautiful even without the diffusion layers. I also appreciate that it’s modular and can be used as a video light too. Overall, I think it’s a great value for money product from Glow and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality softbox.I hope this helps!

Overall I'm very satisfied with the dish. The things I wasn't expecting about it ended up being my favorite things:1. It is SUPER easy to set up. It folds like an umbrella, has a latch to click it into place. Folds up easy and fits in the bag with space to spare, . This is unlike some other brands I have seen that are kind of a pain to set up. I could easily use this as my portable setup.2. It came with 2 layers of diffusion material which are easily buttoned into the interior of the dish3. It came with an egg crate grid which easily velcros to the outside of the beauty dish4. Still a little early to tell, but the light coming from this with the interior plate on are beautiful, even without the diffusion layers.5. I will be able to use this as a video light too because of the modularity of it with the diffusion layers and egg create grid.

Got this to replace an older Godox softbox which worked fine but was tricky to assemble and disassemble. I wanted one that would be easy to collapse between uses, since my work space is small. The Glow EZ softbox works perfectly in that regard. The build quality is great and it was also way more affordable than similar products by other brands. Will definitely stick to this brand for future softbox needs.

This Glow EZ Lock 34" Beauty Dish appears to be well-made and I expect it to function as a great light modifier. That being said, I have to agree that the Snaps of the inner diffuser ring are a VERY BAD IDEA! They do snap together easy enough, however getting them apart is much more difficult, and the risk of tearing the fabric to get the snaps undone seems to outweigh any potential benefit of using snaps instead of Velcro (hook & loop) type fasteners that my other modifiers use. Velcro is easier to install, and MUCH easier to remove than these snaps. Velcro is used for the outer diffusion screen, as well as the included grid. I was able to remove the outer diffusion screen as well as the grid in about 1/10th the time it took me to struggle with the snaps of the inner diffuser.I would rate a 5/5 if snaps were not used on this model.By the number of reviews that include issues separating the snaps, I would expect the manufacturer to make changes to future products that are using the snaps.

I love it, but the material seems to be wearing down much faster than I would've expected. From the photography aspect, it gets beautiful results, but I feel like I probably have to replace it soon. The material near the zipper looks like it's starting to tear.

This octabox is an incredible value for the money! I am loving the easy to assemble lock-in collapsable design, it is so much better than having to assemble the metal rods like in other soft boxes I've used! While the is called a 'beauty dish' due to it's more shallow design, this can be used for almost anything! The build is super high quality, I was honestly surprised at how sturdy it is.Overall, love it! There's no need to spend much more on another brand that will probably only be around the same quality.

This product has taken my flash photography to a higher height. I used it with my ad200 at a wedding for family portraits and the shots came out great.
