Works great
I needed additional ports and was tired of stretching to move cables around. This USB hub has a decent sized cord. I am able to keep the USB hub on the desk. Works great with yubikey and many other devices. One reviewer said the buttons were random. I haven't had any issues with the on/off buttons. Which means I can leave the camera connected and turn it off when not in use. I wish it had an off switch for the power cord when the additional power is not required. I am very happy with this purchase.

This hub works great for me
I've been using this hub for a couple of months on my four year old ASUS laptop. I have a Microsoft USB wired mouse, a logitech USB wired keyboard, up to 2 4TB Western Digital My Passport hard drives and sometimes an XQD or SD card reader plugged into it. I also charge my Garmin bike computer, and a bicycle headlight and taillight on the charging ports. Everything works great. The only issues I've had is two incidents where my computer would not start back up properly when I had put it in sleep mode. No idea what happened, but it hasn't happened again recently. I do backups to the external hard drives and have had no glitches with that. Speed seems the same as when the drives are plugged into the USB 3.0 ports on the laptop. I've restored a few files from the backups. No problems reading my XQD or SD cards. Speed seems good with those too.

Great opportunity for more ports
Have a work computer with limited usb ports so this was ideal for adding more ports with the ability to move them to an area that is easier to get to. No more leaning over the monitor to find an open port and unexpectedly unplugging another device. Also pending where your open ports are located some devices end up hanging from the usb port and then adding more weight to the device ruining your available usb port. The one thing that stands out to me is the ability to turn off individual ports on this powered hub for the convenience of ensuring that you are not bogging down your computer...This also has a few ports dedicated for power for those electronic items that need charging.

great but won't power a usb led magnifying light.
good so far. I bought this item to charge my android phone and become a base for various charging via usb. I especially wanted to use it to power a led magnifying light for my miniatures painting.Unfortunately it does not work for that; perhaps the way the power supplies it but other devices work as advertised. At this point I don't intend on returning it as I have a standalone ac plug for it.

Works. Easy. Do it
Thought I'd need to plug it in. But, I wasn't paying attention. It's either plugged in or attached to the computer via USB. Since I needed it to attach, one less plug. I like that it has an extra USB to piggyback another if I ever need it. I don't think I will because there are plenty of jacks on this one. Very satisfied.

Junk. Don't waste your money. Loses connection frequently; on/off buttons don't work
It's junk. It can't handle a USB hard drive, and the buttons work only randomly. It looks pretty and charges stuff. That's about it.I returned the original and had a replacement sent. While the powered portion remains operable after a few weeks, the device itself cannot read a simple USB thumb drive without corrupting files and constantly failing. The on/off buttons still don't work.
