This was my third attempt to purchase a "renewed" laptop that actually met the description given. Each was purchased from a different vendor. The first laptop was sent with a locked BIOS. The second did not have the display resolution for FHD. This third one, purchased from Tek Refurbs, met all the specifications and after using the laptop for a few weeks we love it. Everything was in good/great shape and worked as advertised. On this third attempt I did call the vendor prior to the order to verify the product met the specifications listed. I liked this renewed item so much that we'll be purchasing some type of desktop model for my father, and it will be from Tek Refurbs. My experience so far with "renewed" items is that some vendors pay more attention to the advertised specs than others, and it's my belief that Tek Refurbs does pay attention. The first two vendors were ok to work with and I had no issues with refunds or restocking fees, etc. My advice for those shopping for renewed items is to fully understand the advertised specifications and make sure the product you ordered meets them. Don't be shy to negotiate with the vendor if the product you received doesn't meet those specs. Some features, like a backlit keyboard, were important to me. You can negotiate with these vendors over pricing if the product fails to meet advertised specs.

I bought this laptop for my daughter to do online college classes, and she needs the camera for the conferencing software to join her classroom.What's in the box? 1-Dell Laptop, 1-Dell Power Supply.What would make me happy?Send me a compatible webcam since the product was advertised as having a camera.Update: seller contacted me same day as this review, and is sending me a compatible webcam.

I read about a problem with shutting down in other reviews and hoped it was isolated but it's true. The machine begins to run hot and then shuts down. If anything is placed near the left rear side vent or in front of the keyboard, it shuts down. I've placed on risers and it helps but still if anything is close to the back vent it shuts down.I like the unit overall. It takes me about a month to go through all the change overs to a new unit. This problem is really bad in that I now may have to start over with a new unit. Will reach out to CSR for help but not hopeful due to what appears a faulty product design.

I purchases in February 2022 and now in December 2024 the operating system cannot boot up anymore. It just continues to loop in a "Repair" mode that cannot execute any of its options to troubleshoot or repair the operating system.Confirmed the hardware is fine.

Second time ordering a refurbished laptop. I'm a huge fan of the concept and Lattitudes are awesome work horses! Unfortunately, this one has a different processor than advertised. i5 instead i7. It will be fine for what it's being used for but now feel I paid too much for it. A return refund was offered, but don't have the time to wait and set up another computer. Been nice to have been offered a partial refund.

No issues with this laptop.It is an upgrade for me from a Dell E6420, so I'm thrilled with the performance and screen quality.Yes, there are some blemishes, in my case the mouse button between the G, H & B keys is seriously worn. Other than that, this unit arrived much nicer than other laptops I've bought refurbished, but in excellent condition. Came with a real Dell A/C charger.I can't comment on battery life, I use it plugged in mainly.I recommend this. For the price it is simply unbeatable.

Every feature I have used on this computer has worked as well as I had hoped. I personally don't care for the flat and thin feel of the keyboard, but it does function adequately. The sound is good. The image quality of the screen is better than my 24" monitor.
