I open carry when I go fishing on my boat and this holster does the job. Fits my XD9 so much better than a universal holster I was using.

This OWB holster fits Springfield Armory XD-40 SubCompact perfectly.Arrived quickly, secures the weapon perfectly and functions excellently. Very easy to adjust canter.A bit tough to get into position but once there it is not going anywhere. Very snug.The weapon canters away from the body for a smoother draw, rather than a snug body fit, and dealing with clothes and such, so take that into account when purchasing.My only issue and it's a small one: the release lever is not aligned with a straight finger release. Meaning you have to adjust your index finger more towards the top of the weapon to activate the release. It's not hard to do and it is a small gripe but for a faster draw, that could have been better aligned.Otherwise, I do recommend this purchase for OWB carry.

Hard to get on my belt but once its there, great holster.

The finger lock is very ergonomic. I used it for the first time in my CCW class and it was as smooth as can be. The pistol will not fall out of the holster even if you are upside down. Well made and should last
