SKS Edge Al 28" 46mm Matt Black Aluminium Mudguard Set: Matt Black 46mm 28" SKMED2846B

Perfect fit for my Ribble CGR AL (size XS) with 40mm Schwalbe G-One Allround wheels.Pretty straight forward and I didnt need to purchase anything extra to make them fit. As described in Ribble's guide to fitting mudguards, I had to drill out the front guard's mounting bracket to allow it to attach to the hidden mount under my carbon fork. The whole fit, including drilling, only took around 30mins.I definitely made the right decision going for the slightlier pricier metal mudguards. They look excellent, and they fit perfectly with plenty of clearance. Plus they seem a lot sturdier then the plastic SKS set on my other bike. I've not heard a single rattle from them yet.I can highly recommend them. Just be sure you're comfortable with drilling out rivets, if you also have hidden mounts on the front fork.

Looks great on my bike. Wasn’t even that hard to install for a beginner like me. Only hard part was knowing how to take off the rear wheel but a quick online video tutorial later and it installed pretty easily. My bike is a matte black so these fit perfect with it.

I bought these for my Ribble CGR tiThese were easy enough to install (there was a bit of faffing about mostly from me not reading the instructions)I used the provided black spacers to space guard out from frame giving a cleaner look on the back. The 40mm tires fit snuggly but they don't rub.Like a previous Ribble reviewer I did have to drill second rivet (away from bracket) to mount on ribbles under bolt on fork. However the included stays were long enough. If I adjust closer to tire, the stays will require cutting.I may revisit the spacing at the front again to get them a bit closer, but the included bolts were either too short or too long to achieve this today.Overall I'm pleased with these . They reak quality compared to the plastic ones

Firstly I must say that the overall finish of this product is outstanding, it looks & feels strong & sturdy.it's made of aluminium of a decent thickness & does not bend or flex as other plastic mudguards do! it has a positive solidity about it which makes it feel very strong & sturdy, which made fitting it simply more straight forward & easy.the final finish on my black carrera bike was simply stunning, you could not tell it was an after market product, it looked like a show room ready bike. In the wet they did what they were supposed to & kept my bum dry & clean throughout many a downpour.one thing I will say is this, although it comes with all the necessary fitting for most bikes, I needed to buy some additional fork clamps to fit it properly & professionally. So please check you bike attachments & fixings to see if you need additional clamps, you can get them on amazon for as little as a five or six quid, they are well worth the extra expense to fit these mudguard.definately worth considering if your in the market for some nice mudguards.

Required half an hour to set up & awkwardly long screw for the front fender. Unfortunately screws are not black to match the style. Still, great looks and performed flawlessly in the first wet ride.

Bought in March. Rear one snapped in half in July. Was hoping aluminium last longer than plastic one. Ended up a short lifespan and rattle so much on London road throughout its life.Disappointed is an understatement.

Excellent mudguards instructions are ok but they are easy to fit

Installed these on my Ribble CGR AL e gravel bike. They look good once installed and work fine in keeping the crud off, but like most mudguards are a pain to install. The supplied struts were too short to fit and I had to buy a longer set from SKS, also had the drill out the rivets for the front guard as my Ribble has a mounting bolt under the fork crown, although that may be a Ribble specific bit of fettling. I also had to use a fair few odd washers and spacers from my 'jar of random hardware' to complete the install. The rear bridge could do with being a bit more secure as it tends to slide around even with wide washers. Once the pain of installation is over though they look smart and the matt black helps them be more unobtrusive than the usual glossy black plastic. They aren't overly rattly in use and have had no issue with clearance using 700c x 40 gravel tyres.
