Great To Work With
I am an artist/architect who is very crafty with her hands, eyes, and brain. They are synced. I've worked with plenty of materials through the decades and this self-adhesive roll was so easy to work with. It's light but durable. Easy to manage and no buckle-ing as you can press & unroll. I used a matching wood pattern to our floor; adhered the film to 1/2" stack of corrugated board to place under my chair mat to prevent it from shifting. You'd never know it was not real wood. It's better than showing the corrugated boards. Perfect and beautiful!

Excellent product made in Germany
Our two pieces of furniture, a head-bed and a night stand were old and did not match in color other bedroom furniture (mahogany). We spent hours searching stores on-line trying to buy a replacement. We could not find anything we liked and the delivery times were too long. Then we thought about covering our old pieces of furniture with the right color paper. It took three whole days to finish but the result was amazing! Now our bedroom looks amazing - all pieces beautifully matched.Highly recommend.

Decent product that works as it should
I bought this to cover some 3D printed panels I made for an old Sony tape deck that did not have the original panels included when I bought it used. I took the dimensions off the Sony manuals and printed replacements. As they were plastic, I needed to cover them with a mahogany/cherry wood laminate and, instead of buying expensive laminate sheets at the hardware store (much larger than I needed and way more expensive) I found this product which looked like it would work.It has a very good random wood grain pattern, has the proper color of real mahogany and is very easy to cut and apply. It makes the panels look like the original Sony panels such that you likely would not be able to tell unless you removed them from the tape deck so this product did exactly what I needed it to do.I also used it to cover a 3D printed box that contains desktop audio components (pre-amp, amp and switcher) and it looks like a real mini-audio system with wood laminate. So another successful use of the remaining roll.I'm not sure the adhesive will hold up over a long period of time so I'll have to monitor that but, for now, it seems to be holding on nicely. It does have a vinyl smell to it but that goes away after a while. If you need a wood-like vinyl laminate and don't want to spend a lot of money, this product should work for you.

Dont rush and use heat.
Perfect!!!!! I don't know why the bad reviews, but may I suggest being patient and a heat gun? The product works well and better when heat applied. Do not use excessive heat! low temp works and helps it stick better. I am purchasing another one for my dresser. I wish it came in longer sizes.

Looks Great
I have a table between two recliners in which the finish was wearing off the top. Besides that the table was fine. After pricing a similar table I purchased the DC Fix to see if I could correct the top myself. It looks great! Can't even tell that it is a vinyl adhesive cover. My hardest part on this was getting the piece lined up to start. The width of the roll was exactly the size I wanted so I had to position it near perfectly and then start working it down the top. It took several times to line it up where I wanted. But with that being said, the adhesive allows one to pull it up and reposition it. It does not adhere tightly for 24 to 48 hours (not sure of exact time) which gives ample time to work with it. I also purchased the d-c fix applicator kit to smooth the vinyl down. I didn't experience many bubbles in the application like some reviewers said. The few I had I was able to lift the film and smooth it down again. All in all, this is a great product. I'm thinking of purchasing more to do the tops of a couple more older table.

Worked out great!
I have a dresser that is quite a few years old where the factory covering on the top was delaminating, curling and peeling off. I currently do not have the funds for replacing the entire bedroom set but had lots of time on my hands so I thought I would spend the $10 or so to give this a try. I took a heat gun and a paint scraper and peeled the factory laminate from the top, cleaned the surface of glue residue and bought this product hoping the color would be close. It turned out as good as I could have imagined. The product itself seems relatively durable and lays down fairly easy. It even allows for some repositioning if you work in smaller increments and do not apply a lot of pressure initially. Take your time and work it from the center out while starting on one end and working your way to the other, you will be much less likely to have bubbles this way. I initially thought that I could line up one or even two of the edges but then realized it would be easier to just allow overhang all the way around and then trim it. You can also wrap edges if that works for your particular application. If you do find a bubble or two, pierce with an xacto knife or razor blade tip and push out the air working away from and then towards the pierce. Trimming is done best with a single edge razor blade, these will cut through this material like butter. I used a level as a straight edge to assist in my trimming where the top met the factory molding on three edges, on the back its simple on the square edge to just run the blade along the edge as your guide.Once completely down and bubbles removed, I used a wide blade putty knife and a heavy cotton sock (athletic type) placed around the knife to then push the vinyl down with more force. So far the adhesion seems to be excellent. Well worth the investment!BTW - if you would be putting this onto a hard non porous surface, I would recommend applying this with a spray bottle and some water with one or two drops of dish soap in the bottle, spray the hard surface as well as the vinyl and lay in place, then push bubbles out working from the center out in all directions using a method similar to what I described earlier with a squeegee of some sort - again protect the surface with a towel, sock, heavy paper wipe, etc.
