Works good and it has an HDMI and a VGA output that believe it or not is useful at times.

The second unit I purchased worked with my Surface Pro 2. I tested both VGA and HDMI connections at 1920x1080 resolution. The HDMI also carried audio, as it should. I would not hesitate in buying this unit again. I had written to Ugreen about the problems with my first unit and received a satisfactory response. Refund was never an issue since Amazon was directly handling it. The fact that the seller/manufacturer responded is a good sign and thus, I will not hesitate to buy from them again.Display Issue (Updated): With both VGA and HDMI external connections, the display on my Surface Pro 2, has an occasional razor sharp line that cuts across the screen or momentary distortion when I swipe the Start screen. This is minor and not very noticeable. I had the external displays set in duplicate mode. This problem was observable in the Microsoft store using their display connectors, so this has nothing to do with the UGreen adapter. This problem is not there when the external display is set to extended mode.Original Review: I had to send my unit back since neither HDMI nor VGA worked with my Surface Pro 2. I took my tablet and the Ugreen to the local Microsoft store to test which is bad. My tablet was able to connect to their external display using their converters. For now, I have given this review 2 stars because the product seemed well built, connections were secure, and I am assuming I received a lemon. Not sure if I should buy again or try another product? Would be nice if Ugreen can comment and confirm.

I happen to have just bought a new iMac, but I wanted to add a second display. I also happen to own a smallish VGA display of 720p resolution, and a 23 inch 1080p with HDMI. At first I looked at buying two different cables, just in case I wanted to connect either of the displays to my new machine. But then I saw this adapter, that could conceivably be used to connect either of my monitors to my iMac via thunderbolt. And it cost what a single one of those cables would have! So for me, it was a no brainier.The cable seems well made, sturdy and elegant. It comes with gold plated terminals. It connects easily and snugly to either VGA or HDMI cables, which means I can now use my iMac with either type of monitor, and it works beautifully with my Mac, from the second I plugged it in, wihout a single hiccup so far. I have only owned this adapter for only a few days, but I think it's pretty much perfect. It's kind of a shame that it doesn't do 4K, but frankly, I don't see myself spending big bucks on a 4K display any time soon, so this is not a huge deal for me. Just be aware that it's got a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this device.

I bought one of these after my Belkin Mini Displayport to HDMI connector broke. Needing a cheap, quick way to connect my 2009 and 2011 Macbooks to protectors and monitors, I went searching here on Amazon.I've owned it since June 2015, so nearly a year, and I can't recommend it enough. It's stupid simple to get it to work, and it comes with a cheap price tag.Using other Mini DP adapters, this one is by far the best. It's solid, but light, and travels with me anywhere my Macbook does.Unfortunately, the plastic around the HDMI and VGA connectors fell off of mine, and never fully went back on. However, it doesn't stop it from working or being one of the best display connectors I've had the pleasure to use.For $14, I challenge you to find one that has HDMI and VGA that has as decent of a build quality as this one. 4 stars because the plastic fell off, but otherwise, it's a steal.

Bought this unit back in 2015 to take with me to customer sites and to use at home. I always like to have all options available to connect to any display style I may need at customer sites for presentations. I have used this on a great number of trips and it has never failed me. In addition to this, I use the device daily on my laptop at home, and anytime I need to travel it comes with me. So even with frequent plugging and unplugging it still works solidly after over 5 years. Would definitely recommend the device. Not sure that I can truly speak to the quality of picture. I've never had any issues with image/picture quality, but I am also not trying to use this for super high resolution images/gaming/graphics, it's just for standard work functionality and communication on a thinkpad laptop, so no usage to determine noticeable lag, refresh rates, etc that I can really speak to.

This adapter is being used to connect an HDMI display to a new Surface Pro (2017) tablet.The adapter includes connectors for VGA (DB-15) as well as the HDMI port. Only one connector will function at a time and supports only one external display. The adapter is small and self-contained. It is lightweight and does not pull the tablet or cables in unnatural ways. The miniDP port includes a small plastic cover to keep dust and debris out when not in use, though I suspect it will be lost quickly since it is small and clear.Windows 10 recognized the monitor immediately. More time was spent setting up Windows 10 for multiple monitors than it took to physically add the UGREEN adapter to the Surface Pro and attach the HDMI cable.Order shipment was very fast and I am very satisfied with the performance of the adapter and the fulfillment process from Amazon.
