If you care about what you put in your body, you should have one of these
Drinking distilled water has tremendous health benefits, please do the research for yourself.I've wanted a distiller for years and finally had the money to buy one, thank you Lord! We use distilled water for our Kuerig and now I'm mixing my own sports drinks. The math was easy, between the bottled water and gallons of distilled we buy, the distiller will pay for itself in less than 18 months.Other reviews have noted the directions were lacking, unusual for an American company, but true. They have added additional instructions that were very helpful filling in the blanks.I wish I'd have spent the extra $300 and gotten the one with the storage tank. As it is, we drain the distilled water into the 3 gallon bottle that goes in the water cooler we got to go with it.AN IMPORTANT NOTE: The 1st time you use it, it will be MUCH slower than subsequent uses. Don't know why, just is.

Missing button to turn the unit on.
I purchased this unit 7/13/2019 & my son-in-law finally got around to assembling it for me last night. Went to put a few gallons of water in it to give it a test run & was surprised to find a 'fan' button but NO button to turn the unit on.

Durable and convenient
Easy to use. Easy to clean. Been using mine for 3 years daily producing all our drinking, cooking and even topping of my smaller aquariums without the need for water treatment chemicals. The quality of construction and ease of operation is impressive. It has already paid for itself many times over producing thousands of gallons of pure and cheap water with the added convenience of no longer having to buy by the cases and lug them home. When used daily i would recommend replacing all seals every 2 years. Fortunately the unit is easy to work on and parts are cheap so maintenance can be performed by most anyone. Furthermore distilled water can be more easily reformed into phase 4 or "living water".

Great machine and it will heat your home in the winter
I was deciding whether to go with a reverse osmosis or a distiller, did some research and decided to go with the distiller. This machine works great, like another reviewer said it works faster after the first time, Im assuming it's cause of the filter first use. If you're using it for more than one batch it will be even quicker as the machine and filter are already hot to go.I live where the tap water taste like chalk, and as so I used to order Poland spring water 5 gal bottles, the tap water distilled with distiller is better tasting where I've stopped ordering water.

Leaks
Be very careful buying this product it's great when it's new but ours started leaking multiple times, we would pay to have the seals replaced until we just finally gave up and now it just sits in our basement waiting to be thrown out. Also, it gives off a LOT of heat which becomes very uncomfortable in the summer.
