Firstly, I'd like to address one review that says there are "bs" claims with this product. If you go to the MakingCosmetics website and look at the safety data sheet it is clear that this is a diluted product with 1-3% retinol. It is not PURE retinol! When you add 3% to a product you formulate--and this product is for people who formulate their own skincare--you aren't getting 3% retinol but .09%. If you read the instructions for the products you buy this typically leads to fewer disappointments.I purchased this knowing it isn't pure retinol to create a gentle, stable anti-aging product. Pure retinol powder is hard to come by if you are a small business or hobbyist like myself, but products like this are available. I personally do find it effective for fine lines used at 3% in my formulations though it is not as strong as something like tretinoin. MakingCosmetics sells raw materials for skincare formulators, and with enough education and practice it's possible to create good products.

Pure retinol is around 3.3 mil IU per gram. If this was 3mil IU per gram it would be a glob.You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is truly a professional product. It is expensive but you get the results you pay for. Given the concentration, it’s a bargain. Other retinols at a similar price cannot even compare because they are significantly diluted compared to this. This is a highly concentrated product and worth every penny. You can take your favorite cream or serum, add a few drops of this and make your own higher concentration retinol product. Start slow.
