This beautiful game board was exactly as advertised. I think it will wind up being a family heirloom. I can see it lasting till long after I’m gone. My sister, parents, cousins, friends and I played this game on a rough hewn homemade board throughout my entire youth - a family favorite. Then, when I became a mother, I purchased the regular cardboard game to play with my own children, but really missed the feel of the old marbles and the heavy weight of the solid wood game board. Now, this has brought back the best memories and is much more beautiful and well made than any board I ever played on. The painting, sanding, and regular (real) marbles, (so different from the lightweight plastic one you get with the store-bought version), all make for an authentic, handcrafted, made in the USA, game to enjoy with your friends or family. The game can be quite strategic, and sending your opponent back to the start position when he or she is ahead of you, is very satisfying for the competitive player. Kudos to the person who actually built the double-sided board that works for 2-6 players. My husband initiated it yesterday, shortly after it arrived. Still such a fun game, and a stunning board!

The board is a little small to have 6 players playing at once. However very well built and tons of fun
