Good no frills basic kettle
Adventure - Polished Stainless Steel:Had this less than a week, does everything we need. Please note, there's no water level indicator, no light on the switch, & the lid is not hinged, it needs to be removed to fill kettle. No excessive noise when boiling, looks smart, has shiny black plastic handle & lid ; latter is easy to remove to fill kettle & fits securely in position when in use. On/off switch seems well constructed & has a positive 'click' when operated. Unlike other review mentions, the one we received doesn't wobble on the base, pours well, & boils pretty quickly without excessive noise. Maybe we got lucky? Let's just see how long it lasts.

Attractive metal kettle but plastic object inside
Bought because it was the only metal kettle I could find without a plastic window on the side. Also, glass kettles seem to be unreliable, at least those in my price range. I feel like if I drop this metal kettle on the floor, it will still work even with a scuff mark or dent. The lid is easily removable and I can fit my whole hand in for cleaning no problem. Boils at a good speed and not so noisy. Appearance is nice. Really reflective surface and simple, elegant shape.Downsides: the total capacity is not so large, but 99% of the time that is not an issue anyway. The manufacturers had the bad idea to put some plastic inside the kettle which is supposed to show the height of water required for 1, 2 or 3 cups. Personally, I'd rather have less microplastics released into the water each time it boils. Managed to remove this plastic thing with difficulty.

A bit noisy but otherwise works just fine
Nice and easy to work with. I have purchased the shiny one by mistake but that’s okay.A bit too noisy for my preferences but I can live with it.It is not as fast boiling as my previous one and the measuring line is on the inside.

The Lid Is Very Annoying - I am replacing it for this reason.
This kettle works fine - yes its a bit noisy - but it gets the job done. The reason why I am REPLACING it is because the lid is so annoying - it twists completely off ONLY when in the proper position. So once you place the lid on and twist it slightly (and the grooves then lock the lid in) you have to fumble with the lid and twist it to put more water in. If it is a cold morning and you are in your 50s (like me) this can be more hassle then it is worth. Why? because once you find the locking and unlocking point and pull up (which can also be very hard to do) you can easily lose the lid in the air from all the 'trying to get it right' momentum. Then when the lid and unit is HOT - it becomes a different sensory experience to try and get that lid off (you need a towel to safely remove the lid and refill at this point). So if all this lid stuff sounds fun to you - then this is your kettle. Otherwise skip it and find one that has the lid attached that can easily pop it up and you and move on with your life! As I am doing...

Inexpensive but robust kettle made from steel as opposed to cheap and tacky plastics
This is a great kettle if you just want a 'no thrills' metal kettle that performs its assigned role of boiling water perfectly well, and without the nasty taste taints associated with some plastic kettles. It boils water- quickly, too! It does not come with USB port, WIFI access, bluetooth, Alexa-compatability or any other frivolity; I advise you to splash out on a more 'upmarket' or 'posher' kettle if that's what you are after. However, it performs the task of boiling water very well indeed. Its metal (stainless steel) body means that this kettle will last longer than its plastic counterparts, and it does not leave nasty taste taints in your cuppa tea, coffee, or whatever else whets your whistle!

Good value and reliable
This is the fourth one I've bought because it's a basic and reliable kettle and good value. However it has one fault - after few years of use the electrical contact pin in the centre of the base of the kettle breaks and it stops working. I would advise care when placing the filled kettle on it's base. I have had no other issues with this kettle.
