I've suffered from acid reflux for years. Tried so many different options. Betaine HCI and/or Apple Cider Vinegar which did work for me for some time. But whenever I laid down to sleep I would wake up in the middle of the night having the apple cider vinegar taste and/or acid burning my throat. Don't get me wrong Betaine HCI and/or Apple Cider vinegar do work for some types of acid reflux. I've tried to not go the prescription route. It seems all of those prescription and OTC solutions remove acid from your stomach. You don't want to remove acid. In many people acid reflux is actually low stomach acid. Your throat valve opens up when there is a low acid state. A sort of warning to the body. Adding Betaine HCI should fix most normal acid reflux. Also downing a shot of apple cider vinegar (the mother type) like Motts. But these two only served to help me for awhile.Well I tried "Acid Relief by BodyMune" , I take one pill after every meal. FINALLY I can sleep through the night without waking up with a mouthful of acid , having to jump out of bed and swallow the lava and get a drink of water to soothe the now irritated throat. I was gonna give up and just go the prescription route. But I know that reducing acid in your stomach is bad. You need acid in your stomach.So I tried "AcidRelief" by BodyMune and it works for me. Can't say why, it just does. It's important to take one after a meal or when you start getting a burning sensation. I take about 3 a day after every meal. I'm taking a break from Betaine HCI and apple cider vinegar for now.I feel like the AcidRelief is giving me time for my throat to heal from the onslaught of acid splashing it over the years. So it's important to figure out what type of reflux you have. It's the first product I could actually sleep through the night and not get a burning sensation at all. It's almost a miracle in a bottle for me at this point. I was ready to give up the fight and just get prescription acid blockers , which would kill the acid in my stomach. Which is a bad thing in my opinion in the long run. You want acid in the stomach. Believe it or not acid reflux for some may be too low stomach acid.I hope they never stop making this stuff , it works for me. I hope it does you too.

Tried this for my husband and it doesn’t work at all. Causes him even more acid reflux and burning. Would not recommend at all!!!

It is ok if I take 2 pills at a time. otherwise taking the does suggested 1 pill does not work for me

So far it hasn't done anything to alleviate my acid reflux issues. I find that mine are worse either when I'm stressed or when I'm rolling over onto my side in bed at night. I try to sleep propped up but eventually I have a hard time sleeping that way for the entire night and roll over onto my side and scoot down under the blankets. I wind up having to suck on antacid tablets as I fall asleep and sometimes wake up with it still not totally disolved. I had hoped this would make it so I didn't have to do this any longer but so far no luck.

I have GERD and for years I took Omeprazole. After finding out those pills should not be taken for more than 2 weeks; I decided to stop taking them. Omeprazole completely stops all stomach acid. ( I went in for an endoscopy and was not supposed to eat or drink after midnight. When I came out of the anesthesia the doctor queried about the last time I ate; as she said the salad looked like I had just eaten it - even though I hadn't eaten in over 24 hours.) That left me looking for natural alternatives and after research I found these supplements. I am very happy with the difference. I can take these as needed and I don't have to worry about my food digesting. Highly recommended.
