SeiwaTokonole Leather Finish Burnishing Gum 500g Clear Leathercraft

What’s to say here. Sand the edges, put on a light coat of Tokonole, rub with a burnishing tool then polish with a piece of dense cloth. Done. beautiful edges every time. For a really refined edge, give it about a hour to fully dry and set. Repeat above but start with fine sandpaper 600 or above. Hope this helps someone.

I'm glad the bottle was in a plastic bag. I'm guessing the pressure changes from elevation caused it to kind of explode. The cap didn't come off but there was poetically a couple table spoons of the product that managed to find a way out.At first I wasn't impressed with tokenol, but now I can't get away from it. When done correctly it's absolutely an excellent burnishing product. It's quick, slicks to a shine. I've used it to seal the flesh side of leather also. I've tried it as a finish, which it does fine but it's not on the top of my list for finishing. My only complaint is that I wish there was an applicator for it, or it came with one that was better than my finger. I've used squeeze bottles but filling one up is a mess and a waste of goo. Overall you can't go wrong with this for edge burnishing

Works incredibly well. I love how smooth and shiny this burnished edges and the flesh side of leather. I found this works much better and I use way less when: I scoop what I think I'll need (usually about 1 tablespoon max) into a small dish, then add 3 or 4 pumps of distilled water from a spray bottle and stir. This thins out the gum a bit making it easier to spread and I notice no dimished effectiveness at all. This makes the tub last much longer and it dries slower giving more time to burnish without having to reapply and waste more. I was worried this stuff would interfere with my leather if I hadn't dyed it yet. It does not make a difference as long as the burnishing gum has dried at leas 12 hours before dying. This stuff saves otherwise useless leather.

This product works Ten Times better than Gum Tragananth or any other burnishing cream out there.

The same product use to cost around the $48 dollar range and now it’s $90+ dollars ?? I did hear the company was recently bought out and has a new owner maybe that’s the increase. I’ll have to look elsewhere for a better price, Great product and I will continue using it.
