Heavy Weight Microphone Balance
It works well. The clamp to hold it onto the microphone stand is good (easy to tighten and does not slip, but not difficult to loosen too because it has a good size four sided screw top) and the weight is nice and adequate to allow a boom with an SM58 on it to be extended to a good, useful, and functional degree. the orange color is useful to prevent folks from running into it because they might have overlooked a black weight. If I needed another such weight, I would not mind having another one of these. Just don't drop it on your toe!

Buy once, cry one
I can't really afford many Manfrotto products, but I couldn't afford not to get this little counterweight. The other ones I'd tried in the past were lousy, and I have to say this one works very nicely. I'm using it at the end of a boom mic stand for a shotgun mic used for video production. Even though the weight is not adjustable, you can move it back and forth along your horizontal boom in order to get the desired leverage that you need.

Supercharge your mic stand
3lbs doesn’t sound like much, but attaching this beauty to the back end of your boom will let you extend a heavy mic all the way out even on that chintzy little Amazon Basics stand that’s always falling over. It’s kind of unbelievable how much stability this adds. It’s well built and the bright orange color will let everyone know that you’re the cool kid who counterweights their booms. I wouldn’t change a thing.

I use it on microphone stands.
A great counterweight to use on microphone stand boom arms when utilizing heavy Ribbon mics, or large condenser mics. It will keep the mic stand from tipping.

Quality, simple. Rather small.
I put this on the bottom of my light stand to make it bottom-heavy. There's not a lot to say about it other than that it works well and seems very well made. It would be a good counter weight for a boom but I always use it on the bottom of a light stand. I don't like the idea of dragging around sandbags with me that I have to put on and off every single time. So I just leave this attached to the light stand. This is the best solution that I found other than hiring an assistant.

Handy For Mini Booms
I now have two of these and love using them to balance mini booms for photography lighting. A good amount of weight in a compact form, much better than dragging around sand bags. These are too small for larger booms or heavy light setups but they are perfect for the smaller setups that I got them for.

Works well, decently made.
It feels secure when mounted. It can mount on 15mm rods, 5/8 inch c-stand arm, and on tubes up to about 1.25 inch.

Heavy duty toe breaker, but it also counterweights well
I thought I might have needed the larger counterweight but I think I will go with a few more of these. I really like them for the size and weight. They are perfect for a boom with a small light on them or a reflector/card. Great construction and no branding which was unique, Price was right as well
