Maxi B-50 Complex
I use this product as directed. I have used many other B 50 complex tablets and or capsules all had a very strong odor, unpleasant taste and after taste so much so I stopped taking B50 until I tried Maxi B-50 Complex there is absolutely no after taste no unpleasant odor. The quality of this product exceeded my expectations, so much so I recommended this product to my son also a dear friend both now use Maxi B-50 Complex they love this product as much as I do, I will not try another B50 product.

small orange capsule easy to swallow stays fresh in bottle individual pills have ...
Pros:Small orange capsuleEasy to swallowStays fresh in bottleIndividual pills have no detectable odorKosherCons:Color changes over time (in my weekly pillbox, i have seen it change. doesn't seem to affect effectivity)Pills in bottle have slight odorB6 is half of tolerable levelCholine is 1/11 of Adequate IntakeWould be nice if:Use Metafolin instead of Folic AcidFor the purposes of illustration, following is a list of Estimated Average Requirements (EAR), Recommended Intake (RI), Adequate Intake (AI), and Tolerable Level (TL) with what this provides. Because it changes by age, gender, pregnancy, and lactation, i will list only one: Male 31-50. For people above the age of 18, it usually doesn't change much. Note, either EAR and RI are listed or AI is listed. EAR/RI and AI are mutually exclusive. TL is commonly Not Determined (ND.)B1/Thiamin EAR 1mg, RI 1.2mg. TL ND Provided 50mg, far more than required.B2/Riboflavin EAR 1.1mg, RI 1.3mg, TL ND. Provided 50mg, far more than required.B3/Niacinamide See below.B4/Choline AI 550mg, TL 3500mg. Provided 50mg. If you want to supplement Choline, you probably want another supplement.B5/Pantothenic acid AI 5mg, TL ND. Provided 50mg, far more than required.B6/Pyridoxine HCI EAR 1.1mg, RI 1.3mg, TL 100mg. Provided 50mg, far more than required, but half of TL. Be careful if taking multiple times daily.B7/Biotin AI 30mcg, TL ND. Provided 50mcg, more than required. Why is it listed as 17% DV as opposed to 166%?B8/Inositol TL ND. Provided 50mg.B9/Folic Acid See below.B10/PABA TL ND. Provided 50mg.B11 is not provided. Does not seem to be required.B12/Cyanocobalamin EAR 1mcg, RI 2.4mcg, TL ND. Provided 50mg, far more than required. For Niacin, a Niacin Equivalent is used (NE), which is listed as 1mg niacin = 60mg tryptophan. I assume 1mg niacin also = 1 NE. EAR 12 NE, RI 16 NE, TL 35mg. This provides 50mg niacinamide instead, which is also B3. The body produces niacinamide when there is more niacin in the body than it requires. Niacinamide is preferred by some because oral niacin has a common side effect of a flushing reaction. I assume the listed levels are for niacin and not niacinamide. So, the 50mg provided here should be fine. The %DV listed as 250% seems to be based on niacin. For Folate, a Dietary Folate Equivalent (DFE) is used. 1DFE is either 1mcg folate, 0.6mcg folic acid taken with food (which means either a food fortified with folic acid, or a supplement taken with food), or .5mcg folic acid (supplement) on an empty stomach. EAR 320 DFE, AI 400 DFE, TL 1000 DFE. Provided here 400 mcg. If taken on an empty stomach, that would be 800 DFE, with food, 666 2/3 DFE. The label lists 100% DV which is misleading but not terrible. Other than hiding a possible B12 deficiency, too much folic acid does not seem to be that bad.Almost all supplements use folic acid. Folate must require some special method manufacture, and one brand of it is called Metafolin. Solgar sells Metafolate and Amazon carries it. Some people have a hard time absorbing folic acid (seemingly, myself included) and require natural sources of Folate or (somethign lke) Metafolin instead.Vitamin B is water soluble, so it can (and possibly should) be taken two or three times daily. Though too much at once can have some not so good side effects. I have been taking this for some time now and am quite happy with the product.* http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/DRI/DRI_Tables/recommended_intakes_individuals.pdf

Ingredients and quality (made in the USA)
Hoping the ingredients are made in the USA? It is manufactured in the USA. I have been taking them since I received They seem to be better that the ones I was taking previously. Too early to make a good review of them.
