This is a well made instrument, every detail is perfect
Comes set up to play not one adjustment needed, tone excellent, electronics excellent , neck adjustment excellent . The instruments sustain is really unbelievable. Having another Ovation from 1972 and have played the frets off of it I was excited to gain another hoping to have the same experience., No disappointment here , instrument is phenomenal.

Gorgeous! But…
The guitar is beautiful! Gorgeous details and great tone— until you plug it in. Straight out of the box, the A string was gnarly distorted. Really terrible. I took it to my local guitar guy who told me the pickup was garbage. I expected solid electronics from a guitar of this price. Now I’m shopping for a luthier to replace the pickup entirely. Great acoustic, betrayal of an electric.

Ovations are the standard for round-backed guitars.
Very pleased with the quality and looks. It is an acoustic electric, so not as loud "un-amped" as my other acoustics. I am very pleased with this purchase as a back-up! The spalted maple is beautiful.EDIT (2024-05-27: Having had this guitar for about 6 months, I finally unpacked my amps from moving across country and am disappointed at how short-lived batteries are in this awesome guitar. I believe I am forced to use it as acoustic only, though the tone is beautiful for as long as the batteries do last. Sigh... I was so hoping for better (as a result, I did down-grade my prior 5-star review).

NOT A FULL SIZE GUITAR!
They bury in the specs the fact that this is actually a 3/4 sized guitar, basically made smaller for a child or beginner. This is NOT a full-sized guitar. The paperwork that comes with the guitar says "thank you for buying an Adamas or Applause guitar" Which were the top the line and least expensive models relatively. I understand that Fender bought Ovation and started making the guitars in Korea and China. This is a typical tactic in Asia. Selling overvalued products to Americans who don't know better. They figure we won't return them because of the trouble getting it back to the seller. Thank God I bought this through Amazon. Be advised!

Just What I Needed
The media could not be loaded. This was the type of guitar I had always wanted since I started playing years ago. Was going through somewhat of transitional stage in my playing—trying to evolve— and this guitar was exactly what I needed to help me get there. Very satisfied. Thank you.P.s.I name all my guitars, and this beauty is now known as “The All Mother”.

Nice product. But, the electronics are already none functional - not sure who in the world repairs guitars in the area.
