An ABC learn the alphabet book for pre-schoolers, not learning D&Ds.
This is a nice book. Hardback. Nice rhymes and pictures. It is a learn the alphabet book for pre-schoolers.I was looking for a book more about D&Ds for a slightly older child. This is not that book. From the description, focus on... "learn the alphabet--a precursor to every new path in reading."Do not pay attention to the misleading... "Perfect birthday gift or holiday gift for gamers of all ages."I suppose the real market for this book is... "for all gaming parents; a great baby shower gift!"I returned mine.

Great for any budding d&d fans
Great book for d&d fans. Reads pretty well, there are a few pages that don’t flow perfectly but no worse than most kids books. The choice for Y seems like abit of stretch but all the others are great choices. Good artwork, my 7 month old enjoyed it and I’m sure will continue to for a long while yet.

NOT a book for babies/toddlers or kids only beginning to learn to read!
I was very excited to get this for neices nephews etc - when I finally read it to my nephews I was extremely disappointed. It is basically DnD marketing and is completely unsuitable from an educational point of view.It was like the band BNL's song titled 'Crazy ABCs' , which is fantastic for a children in P5 onward to learn an esoteric alphabet - but no one would present this to children who are actually trying to learn their Abcs/starting to read (or even infants to begin to grasp basic concepts).(Not only this but the examples are massively contrived to shoehorn Dnd terminology, actively against what should be the spirit of the game/adventures).

Brilliant
That's literally brilliant.I bought it with the hope to bring my little daughter to the "dark side of nerdiness", but even if I won't be able to fulfill her destiny, I'd enjoy all time I'll read it to her

My nephew loves it
Despite the initial book arriving in bad condition the second book was fine and fortunately arrived in time for my nephew's birthday, it's safe to say his parents are sick of reading them to him, which as a massive D&D fan is a win from me. I also read them to him and they are great!!

Great place to start a little one's adventure
I got this to read with my child and it's been a great success. The pictures are lovely and it has a good selection of words to introduce to a child (though having an under 2 chanting "Ravenloft" might not be for everyone).Would recommend this for anyone who wants to introduce their child to the wonderful world of imagination and adventure.
