Easy install Hayward supreme pump quiet and powerful

I’ve only had it installed for 18 hours so the jury is still out on this motor. I switched out a seized up century 1 hp that I’ve been running for 6 months a year/ 14 hours a day for 10 years. The change over was pretty straight forward. I used the old impeller but installed new gaskets and seals. The motor is rated at 1.65 hp up rated which means it’s equivalent to a 1.25 hp standard rated. It’s fairly quiet but just a little louder than the century. This unit is manufactured in Mexico so it’s not Chinese made. If I have further comments about it I will edit this review.

This motor started making a very loud squealing noise only after 4 months of 12 hour a day use.

Lasted about 6 months and they would not allow the return of product

The media could not be loaded. Replaced a Hayward Super Pump 1HP Motor with this motor. Super fast delivery, great packing….Fit the Hayward flange PERFECT. 4 short bolts and 3 wire hookup or you can wire a regular plug to it. There is a switch you’ll need to change next to the wiring screws under the plastic end cap if you are going to wire a plug. So, far so good, but if something goes south we shall see if they will stand by their product. I have read nothing to say they won’t….. I will keep everyone in the Customer Service loop.

I bought this motor to replace the 11 year old pool booster pump motor. This replacement only lasted 10 months. Bearings failed. Very bad corrosion of whole motor with no water leaks onto the motor.
