Small Accurate Compass.
Great small compass that is accurate and rugged. Not as good as using a full-sized Lensatic Compas but is handy in a pinch.Has fairly bright Lume but it could be detrimental in a tactical situation, and one needs to be aware of this during movement when moving covertly in darkness.I highly recommend this as a backup/survival compass where size and weight as the ability to have it handy on your watch or a wrist band at all times.

A good compass, but...
The compass is nice, however, there is a "but". Bough this piece back at the end of August, and ever since then was wearing it on my wristwatch band. The compass is nice, and easy to read, however there are several issues with it. First of all, the rotating bezel on the compass was made with a defect, and so the clicking of the compass is working only in a certain spot ( around East indicator ). However when the bezel ia rotated closer to West indicator, it simply rolls and does not stop for a click. The other issue, is that the indications on the rotating bezzels are not of a good quality. At firat I though that the indications (N, S, E, W) were engraved, but as it turna out, now (end of January) it is a sticker, that is peeling off (see the picture). Not only does that make compass hard to use, but is also rather disappointing for the price it comes for (I think around $25)

Looks are deceiving...
I was interested in using this clipped to the visor in my car, but it's way too smallto clip onto the visor. It's also very hard to see unless you hold it very close to your eyes. The photo mislead me to making a bad purchase on this. The compass does work butI have no use for it's small size.

So close to great
I have a few button compasses that I keep clipped to watch straps. I have found them accurate enough to get you out of certain types of jams. This is the best (and most expensive) of all that I own by far, but its not without its flaws. The good news is it is accurate and nicely made. it has a toothed clip that enables you to put it in watch straps of almost any size as well as the cuff of your jacket or a back pack strap etc. The pivot is jeweled so it moves more smoothly than regular metal to metal axels and also pivots out of plane a bit. The feature that is both the strongest feature and the biggest flaw is the Lume. Lume on these types of compasses is normally a total joke. In this case as you can see in the pic the lume on this is serious. That photo was taken based on light exposure from walking around the house. I wasn't outside and I didn't charge it with a flashlight so the lume is impressive both on the heading bezel and the compass face itself. Here is the problem. The bezel ring is made entirely of a luminous material, it glows brightly for many hours, the markings on the compass face are tiny and fade much more quickly. So for probably the first hour or so in the dark the compass is very clearly legible, however after longer times in the dark the difference in brightness between the bezel ring and the markings on the face washes out the makings on the face. It become a bit like trying to read a newspaper while someone shines a light in your eyes, what exacerbates this is that the face is tiny and the markings while clear are all symmetrical. I can see markings but its a struggle to make out what they say. I think if Marathon made the North marker much larger you would be able to register the size difference even if you couldn't read it. All in all a very good little compass, which is almost perfect, but not.

Beautiful lume!
The lume is the only reason this item is getting 3 stars, simply spectacular!Compass accuracy is spotty...In the process of an exchange to see if this is an common issue.

Great watch compass
Great wrist watch compass. Fits great on my 22mm nato band. Doesn’t slide or fall off. The bezel is a bit hard to turn but the clicks are solid and turns both directions. The glow in the dark is very bright and last a long time. Compass is also very accurate . Compared it to my phone and suunto compass and it was accurate even wearing it next to a stainless steel wrist seiko watch.

Very tiny
Looks and works as intended but very little in the add it looks like a nice fair size but turns out it's very small for 25 bucks at lease it should come with a wrist strap or something and also it feels very light....
