I suffer from disc degerative disorder on my neck...
Getting old isn't fun, we all know that! Our upper back hurts, lower back hurts, everything hurts! After having two surgeries for torn rotator cuffs (both shoulders), I found out that I am also suffering from what I call Triple D or DDD (no, that isn't my chest size). I have a disc degenerative disorder (thus DDD) on my neck. I asked the doctor, actually tried to convince her a few times, if surgery can fix it. Unfortunately it cannot be fixed. She said that it is part of getting old (I'm only 42!) and the lack of calcium in my bones. So, OK, no surgery will fix it therefore I am bound to live the rest of my life with neck pains then. Driving is very uncomfortable, even if it's only for a few minutes. I am short as well and I believe that my height is such a negative factor being behind the wheels. And of course, there's nothing I can do about my height either! So I decided to look up car neck pillows. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning but for the price I was willing to try it out. Amazon has a great return policy anyway so what am I to lose?I was very excited to try this product actually. So the day it came in the mail I immediately put it on and tried it out! My, my, my! It is some sort of a miracle actually! The protection and comfort it provided was amazing! Although I find myself adjusting it once in a while (because of my height and not because the product sucked), it is extremely comfortable! I noticed having less amount of pain after driving for hours! Since I got this product in the mail I have gone out of town, on road trips, every weekend I had - driving 3 to 3 1/2 hours each way. And because I feel relaxed driving I actually find myself less grouchy when I sit on traffic.I purchased 2 of them and I can't wait to give the other one to my daughter!

Great product!
I am so happy with this purchase, it really gives me the cervical neck support I need to prevent a stiff neck. First of all, it's a soft and pliable memory foam, so it doesn't push back against you when you lean against it. And the shape is very ergonomic with most of the support in the middle area and tapering toward the top and bottom. It's easy to use with(in the car) or without (airline seat) the attached strap. I love the softness of the velour cover fabric.I am 5'3", so car seats, recliners, and airplane seats all poke into the back of my head, pushing my head forward and making it hard to maintain a cervical curve when trying to relax. This pillow works to support the curve while allowing my head to stay in a neutral position.I use it in the passenger seat of my Nissan Murano - perfect! And I used it while flying in one of the new, non-reclining Frontier Airlines seats on a recent 4 hour flight (which without the pillow would have pushed my head forward in a most uncomfortable position - flight-related crisis averted!) I have a small Ekornes recliner that is comfortable enough, but still not ergonomically correct for a short woman, but this pillow takes the recliner from "okay" to "I could fall asleep in this thing!"I use this pillow whenever I can, it's that good.

Good enough. Might not be for everyone.
Nice quality, just wish it were bigger. I am a fairly small-framed person, and after I had a car accident I needed something to support my neck (which was injured when my car was totaled) in my new vehicle. The only way to tell if these pillow will work for any certain individual and their car is to try it out... you need to know where your neck is in relation to the pillow and to see how far out the pillow will be once it's attached to your car seat, which it does via an elastic band that goes over the top of the headrest.Sometimes I just use this pillow on my bed at home to support my neck... The quality is good and the cover is nice and soft microfiber. Try it. See if you like it. :)

Couldn't get past the odor
I purchased this for around $13.50 which seemed like a good deal to me. I see a lot of neck pillows selling for $20-30.I liked the look of this one and some of the reviews made me think I'd like it.And I did like the shape and size. I felt the foam was comfortable but supportive.I wanted this to work for me. Unfortunately, I had to return it due to the odor, so I can't give more than 3 stars. There was an insert that warned that the odor could be strong at first, and that it should be aired out for a few days. I even removed the cover, so each piece could air out separately. However, after 8 days the odor was still very strong. Even when the pillow was a few feet away from me. If you are sensitive to odors, stay away. Memory foam can't be washed like other materials.

Really relieves neck pain
Even though this is advertised as a car pillow, I use it mainly as an extra pillow when sleeping, reading or watching tv. I can sometimes have really bad neck pain (arthritis) and this little pillow was the first one that actually made a difference. I find that if I use it consistently whenever I’m going to be sitting for any length of time, it really helps. It’s very comfortable- the foam insert is soft but still gives support. I’ve tried a bunch of others in the past and found them to be uncomfortable, or too bulky and cumbersome - and none of the other designs did anything to alleviate the neck pain.

Works great, but you may need a seat pad too
I've been having a lot of neck and shoulder pain associated with a mildly displaced disc in my neck. I bought this pillow specifically for neck support during a long drive (over 300 miles), and it worked great! It's very comfortable and gives my neck the support it needs. The only issue I had with it is that it was a little too thick, so my back didn't rest right against the seat like it should, so I had mid-to-lower back pain. I took a seat pad that was made for a lawn chair and put it on the seat, underneath my seat cover. I drove back the 300+ miles after adding the seat pad and didn't have any more trouble with mid-to-lower back pain and still had the benefits of the neck pillow.
