Excellent resource for services and daily devotions
The Book of Common Prayer and NRSV Bible is a useful and smart combination both for corporate worship and personal devotion and study settings. It follows the standard format of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer page-by-page. It includes both the Common and 1979 Lectionaries so whichever one your church follows you can bookmark the lessons and Psalms easily. The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible remains my preferred translation for its practical, responsible handling and translation of the original texts, its straightforward language and its contemporary style. This volume also includes the Apocrypha, also presented in a practical fashion consistent with the translation of the overall Biblical canon.A word of caution for those with less-than-perfect vision: keep your glasses handy. The print is very small, particularly for the Biblical texts (the prayer book section uses a slightly larger typeface). It's a small price to pay for such a nice, compact design but it is one that might prove problematic for some readers. Consider that before buying.

Looks good, Feels great, Reads well
I am totally delighted with this book. I got it just in time for Easter, packed nicely and delivered on time. The bonded leather smells nice, has a beautiful deep rich color, has just the right flexibility, and feels great in the hand. The size is very convenient, easy to handle, although a bit too big for carrying in a blazer pocket. I find it just right. The text is of course standard, so not much to say there. But, the typeface on the common prayer side is very normal and easy to read. On the Bible side the text is smaller. However, it is very crisp and clear and easy to read even for these old eyes. Having read previous reviews I bought a magnifier just in case -- not needed. The paper quality is first rate and it comes with five colored ribbons, enough for all uses. All in all, I could not be more pleased with this edition of the Book of Common Prayer.

Great to have BCP and NRSV Bible with Apocrapha in one book
This is terrific. To have the book of common prayer with the NRSV version if the Bible which includes the apocrypha is great. The only draw back is the print for the Bible. It is small but even with my not so good eyesight I can still read it. The quality of the book itself is worth every penny. I am very happy with this purchase.

TINY Printing
Beautiful. But this book should be double the size. The print is TINY. Needs a large print version, then it would be perfect.

Great Prayer Book
Exactly what needed for Daily Office and to bring to church weekly. Very compact and high quality. Only concern is how long with the cover will last with it being bonded leather.

Like it. Wish font size was a bit bigger
I received my BCP/NRSV combination a few days ago. With the discount provided by Amazon, I paid roughly half of the retail price, and that's fine. Many years ago, I owned the larger version of this combination, but say I think it was destroyed. I never could replace it. And while I do use a Kindle for much of my reading, It's good to use a hard copy for spiritual practice. I was thrilled to discover that one existed, and so I ordered it. knowing that it would be small. Didn't know how small, until I held it in my hand. While, not as durable as leather, the bonded leather cover is suitable for personal use. The font used in the BCP is 9 point, which is acceptable for most people. And even those with aging eyes and reading glasses could manage it. But the print of the Bible is 6.5 --the same as that in my zipper compact NRSV and my RSV Catholic edition. In fact, I think that's what they did: add the compact or personal size. I can manage with my reading glasses or proper lighting. I like to have the scriptures on hand while reading the daily office. Because of the price and its uniqueness, I decided to keep it. It is quite portable. I really wish they had come out with a larger size. For a bit more , those wanting 12-point font might want to check out the BCP/Hymnal combo. This would make a great Easter or confirmation gift.

Robust Little BCP-Bible Combo
If you're looking for an Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and Bible in a single volume, this is the (only) one to leap for. It's extremely modest with muted gilding and bonded leather which barely shines. It is very small, making it trivial to pack in any kind of bag... or even to shove into a coat pocket or cargo pants pocket when need be!The Bible text definitely looks to me like it's closer to 6- or 7-point, but it's perfectly readable even with the naked eye. The same size font is found in text all through the Book of Common Prayer and poses no problems there either. For comparison and scale, I've provided pictures of this volume side-by-side with a copy of the Oxford Annotated Bible. At the pages nearest the ends, the book has to be held open in your hand. Through most of the volume, though, it sits open on its own. The five ribbons are the right amount to mark what is most important for a prayer book and Bible: the current place in the Daily Office calendar, your appointed Psalm(s), your Old Testament Lesson, your New Testament Lesson, and your Gospel Lesson. it is true that the spacing of the ribbons is not uniform along the top of the spine, but I have not seen issues with the manner by which the ribbons were glued to the volume, and I might go as far as to say the way they are placed on my copy seems to fit the places I mark. This edition contains the 2007 printing of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, meaning that it contains both the Revised Common Lectionary and the 1979 Lectionary, complementing the other Historical Documents of the Church. What other changes exist between the 2007 printing and 2016 printings I do not yet know.
