The Divine Office recommends in its introduction the careful study of the psalms. Yet too many commentaries seem to lose the spiritual core of the scripture it examines. John Paul II was a prolific and powerful author, and a saintly man of God. This book inspires and helps one pray the psalms as ones own personal prayer and hear God's voice echoing in ones own personal life. This is a very important book to me as a seminarian and was recommended to me by other seminarians.

For anyone needing a boost in reading the Psalms, this could be a great help! Also a good intoduction to the thinking of St. John Paul II

Blessed John Paul II's reflections on the psalms and canticles of Morning Prayer are both informative and inspiring. The meditations are beautiful examples of his spiritual wisdom and his depth of understanding that could only come from the many years of his devoted prayer life.

Get it before its gone. These are meditations and instruccions on the specific psalms to be read in morning and evening prayer only of the Liturgy of the Hours. It is a treasure.

I have given away many copies to many friends. I read and enjoy the Mediations and Canticles of Morning Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours. This book will give you help in prayer.

Love this book! I ordered it to go along with the Divine Office. I wish I could get the evening prayers version? Is it available in the USA. I see it is under The Catholic Truth Society in England.

An excellent item worth five stars, however this edition from Liturgical Training Publications will cost you more than the exact same volume (different cover only) from the Catholic Truth Society of England (including overseas postage!)Also, you can get from CTS the Meditations and Catechesis on the Psalms and Canticles of Evening Prayer that are not available yet in the United States.
