I had a botched robotic hysterectomy that had to be "fixed" later and caused a lot of problems. My pelvic floor therapist recommended these 5 years ago. These feel the most comfortable out of all the devices I tried. This is my second set as the original set started to feel old and not as smooth. I understand they need to be replaced and don't last forever with regular theraputic use. I was raped the first time I had sex. Since then, I've had an incredibly difficult time relaxing when trying to have sex. I always used lube, but I would still chafe and bleed. I had to stop my partner halfway through because it hurt so badly. It was to the point where I didn't want to have sex because I knew I would just keep hurting. The dilators look very "clinical" in the sense that they're not gaudy or you wouldn't instinctively associate them with a sex toy. I always put lube on the dilators, they feel fine upon insertion. The logo is etched onto the side of the dilators - personally, I couldn't feel the logo at all while using them. The dilators are flexible, which is good. They move to fit in all the right spots inside your body. In terms of sizing, I also wish there was a size between #11 and #12, that would have made the transition a bit easier. However, it is still doable to jump between the two.

Normally I don't speak of private mattters, but I am doing so, to share how this has improved my post menopausal vaginal dryness and sex life. First, my husband and I had an excellent sex life up until about age 54. Then the pain from vaginal dryness made sex extremely painful. Not wanting to take estrogen or related products, I looked for a natural solution. I found this product on YouTube and decided to give it a try. What I discovered was my interior thigh muscles were very tight because of the fear of pain. So during sex I was extremely tense knowing that intimacy was going to require a lot of lubricant and pain. Fast forward to trying out this product. I experimented with the different sizes, relaxing my interior thigh muscles and using coconut oil as a natural lubricant (recommendation of YouTube Video). It seemed to be more comfortable during the trial sessions. So I translated this experience to a live session in the bedroom. First I insert coconut oil with a vaginal applicator about 30 minutes before we get jiggy with it. Focus on relaxing my muscles and the pain is no longer an issue. We barely use personal lubricant now, just a little on "his tool" prior to entry. He noticed a tremendous difference in our sex, first there was no dryness, I wasn't wincing with pain, and I actually enjoyed our intimate moments again. I hope that you have the same results as I do. The coconut oil is a God send, as I use it about 3 times a week inserting it at night to keep my vaginal tissue soft and supple for future romantic interludes.

These dilators have been so useful in my treatment journey for alleviating painful pap-smears, tampons, and definitely intercourse. They're incredibly comfortable to use and so far have really helpful sequential sizing. I'm not entirely certain how I'll get to sizes 6 & 7, but I never thought I'd get to size 3! So, I'm trusting the process and I'm just grateful for the reading materials, videos, and the community from Intimate Rose. I know these are pricey, but I think they're worth the cost for quality products.

The product quality is good including the water-based lubricant. However, the size change between dilators is inconsistent and too severe in the case of the darker blue (diameter 1.07") and the next up aqua (diameter 1.3"). I was fine with the darker blue and then went to the aqua and the pain was severe. I spoke to my physical therapist about this and she agreed and steered me to another brand with gradual size increases. I wrote to the support email at Intimate Rose about this and never heard back. They need to provide a size in between the 1.07" and 1.30" as the jump is too big for a gradual stretch. Also, the size increments are inconsistent; for example, the diameter size goes up only 0.05" between size 4 and 5, but goes up 0.23" between size 6 to 7 (darker blue to aqua). Wish I would have known all this earlier as I had to spend money on in-between sizes from another provider. If I had known, I wouldn't have spent the money for the large size box of 4 units. Intimate Rose should address this.

After my hysterectomy & oophorectomy, things got way too small for comfort. My gyno suggested the hard plastic ones, along with supplemental hormones. These are soooooo much better! Very comfortable to use. They are pretty easy to use without the handle, also.There is a big size gap between the 2nd largest and largest ones...but I think the wider base helps you get there.
