The software CD that came with was unreadable, so I contacted the seller through Amazon, and they sent a link to download. Had to wait a couple of days for the link (over a weekend) but otherwise works perfectly.Seller should probably just include the link on a scrap of paper or business card with the packaging since most people don't even have CDROM's anymore.

I keep getting an err code says it can't open the file and extract the software, waste of money and you don't even have any paper instructions that tell you a site to go to for help.

I purchased this device to learn more about cell phone hardware -- very interesting to see the details of a sim card... Still need to learn more about the technology to provide a detailed review... It does work right out of the package though... It would have been better to have the software on a small USB drive instead of that mini-disc (dvd or cd) they provided...

This probably shouldn't be on Amazon. It requires specialized knowledge. I bought this to clone the sim from one of my personal phones, which is legal. The software it comes with will read all the SIMs I threw at it, even the locked SIMs, but without the Sim's KI code, you can't write to a blank SIM. I used Magic Sim and a couple of others, to crack the KI, but the reader shut down before it could finish cracking it. Then again, these are definitely not for a novice, and I'm in no way an expert. The average guy off the street won't be able to use this for anything useful. It takes specialized knowledge, or access to Forensic software like Mobil edit that can do it. Do this seller a favor and try out the $2 USB dongle reader/writer before wasting his time. He warned about this a little bit in the ad, but I thought Magic Sim and the others would crack the KI code, and they either it couldn't, or this reader shut down before it could. I'm sure in the hands of a real engineer or hacker it might work fine, but it probably shouldn't be on Amazon....the warning wasn't strong enough in the ad. And there are hardly any Youtube videos or web sites out there to help you.

Couldn't find the software online...pain in the ass but hook up an external cd drive and the software works like a charm. Took me less than 10 seconds to read, save and write a new sim card. Excellent product

Within just a few minutes of opening the box I was able to write my first SIM card. If you are looking to use these to clone commercial SIM cards, don't even both as these won't work. If you have a private GSM or LTE network these might be what you are looking for, as all of my old 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE phones accept these SIMs and connect to my private network just fine.

I'm kinda disappointed on this one wouldn't program the software for me to use it I'd like to give it another chance but sales team won't get back to me or send me a new one

Software was not included with the product, nor e-mailed. I finally got around to using the product and I do not have software to be able to use it properly.
