BergHOFF Seren Side Loading Toaster with Cool Touch Exterior and Removable Crumb Tray With Cream Panel use as Serving Tray

I’m not into writing many reviews, but I have to for this toaster. I’ve been toaster shopping for awhile now, looking for one that can actually accommodate artisan bread and more importantly bagels. With my current toaster I had to cut bagels into 3 slices so they would fit. I’ve read countless reviews and was hesitant at first. Let me tell you something: THIS TOASTER IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Bagels, artisan bread, croissants, kolaches… no problem. I don’t know why some reviews state that it does not brown their toast? Set it on 6 and if it’s not dark enough, just push the button again! It’s that easy! We even made quesadillas in it. I did line the slide out tray with some aluminum foil, just to ease clean up. The tray is washable! I’m blown away. When checking out there was a “used, very good condition” for just under$40. When it arrived it was obvious that it was NOT USED. It had the paper liners still attached! What a steal! It is a little longer than my old toaster, but it is also narrower. We got the silver cover with it. If you are considering this toaster, I’m sure you won’t regret it. The versatility it offers is unmatched. Some reviews you have to take with a grain of salt. My thinking was “if I don’t like I’ll just send it back”. No money lost!

This toaster is so perfect. Before buying this toaster I read the reviews about how this toaster did not toast very well. I must say I had a lot of trepidation before buying it. But after buying and using it on different breads, frozen bagels and pastries I’m ecstaticThere is different levels of toasting and a frozen setting that works perfectly. This toaster doesn’t burn your toast so it doesn’t get all dark and browned Like a regular conventional toasterIt warms the bread and makes is crispyIt will brown the bread you may need to do two cycles of cooking. I put my English muffins in and turn on the unit to number one and press the start button about two minutes later the bell rings and my muffins are nice and hot and crispy the butter melts perfectly into the nooks and crannies. If you want it a little more well done you can hit the button and do another cycle and it will be browned moreThe point of a toaster is to take soft bread and make it crispy and this toaster dose that perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. I personally feel this is a dangerous toaster that young children could easily burn themselves on. It requires two hands to open the apparatus that holds hot toast. The toaster has a loud annoying beep when toast is done. I found the toaster unable to give me a level of toastyness that a traditional toaster can achieve and already burned myself getting the toast out.

I bought this BerHOFF toaster because slices of my homemade Italian bread are small and hard to get out of a regular toaster. This BergHOFF toaster has a tray that you remove from the end of the toaster, and there is a wire rack in the tray that grabs and holds the slices of bread, so my small slices of bread do go in and out easily. But inside the toaster, there is just one heating element on each side, and my small pieces of bread were below the heating elements, so even after toasting them on the highest setting twice, they never really toasted. Furthermore, both ends of the toaster are open--you can look right through the toaster from one end to the other, even when the toaster is in use--so it doesn't seem to me that the design is very efficient at capturing heat. Finally, even though the description of the toaster says you can heat croissants in it, it looks to me like the wire rack inside the tray that grabs the bread and holds it in place, would crush something as delicate as a croissant. There are no pictures demonstrating how to toast a croissant without crushing it between the sides of this wire rack. I will be returning this toaster today.

Some appliances are so ugly they are cute. I wish that were the case with this toaster. The pictures of the “red” fail to show just how white this thing is. The red is more of an ugly hot pink, made worse for all the white.I won’t be returning it though. The thing works great. I can see it is going to be easy to keep clean. I had a beautifully toasted Croissant for lunch.I really am torn and disappointed. I worked really hard to make my kitchen beautiful: I love good toast. I’m tempted to take a can of spray paint to it.

Best toaster ever no joke

Didn’t toast bread evenly and was not the quality I was expecting for the price. Even at a high setting we had to cycle twice and watch carefully to not burn.

This is by far the best toaster I’ve ever had.Super easy to keep clean. Can easily see right in the side of it to keep an eye on your toast.Love the pop off tray.Highly recommend!Cost a little more but worth it.
