THIS IS IT!
To the company who makes this, YOU NEED TO ADVERTISE TO AQUARIUM KEEPERS! I've been looking for something like this for months. There's simply nothing in the aquarium trade that does what this does simply or cost affectively.I use this in a sump that is pump fed from an adjacent sump. If something goes wrong, I need sump pump #1 to shut off if the level gets too high.In the aquarium trade, there either isn't a 120v AC solution or they aren't made to trip at an overflow situation. At least without purchasing several other items. And none them have an audible alarm. This has already saved me from a flood.

Just what we needed!
Our washer drain pipe gets clogged a lot from soap and dog hair. We usually manually monitor the drain but sometimes we forget! This does the job for us!!I wish there was a reset button on it, instead of having to unplug it and plug it back in. I did a workaround but plugging it into a power strip with an on/off switch. I also wish the alarm would stop beeping after a certain amount of time.

Worked for about 6 weeks, then the sensor stopped working. No response from seller.

Beware: Product Has Changed
I formerly purchased this product from Menards for around $25, but the unit now only sells for nearly 3 times this price. Since there is no other product on the market like this one, I accepted this. Now, I have found that they have changed the product for the worse. After first detecting water in the laundry tub, the sensor locks the unit into the alarm mode, stopping the washing machine, flashing the red light, and sounding the very loud, annoying alarm non-stop until the entire unit is unplugged (even after the water has run down the drain, and is no longer being detected by the sensor). The product used to automatically restart once the sensor no longer detected water in the laundry tub (once the water had gone down the drain). I have cats in the house, and do not want to torture them with the very loud sound of the alarm any longer than I have to, so I'm now much more restricted in when I can and cannot run the washing machine (I have to be home, and able to hear the alarm). Here is what the instruction sheet that came with the product states:"When the sensor detects water the output is de-energized, the LED will turn red and the alarm will sound. When it is triggered the WasherWatcher will latch in the de-energized state and needs to be reset to enable the output to turn back on. This is accomplished by unplugging the switch from the outlet, waiting a few moments, and re-plugging it back in."Very disappointing.

Already paid for itself
I don’t normally write reviews, but this Washer Watcher has just paid for itself. I came Home from work the other day and entered my house through our Utility Room, once inside I heard a beeping that I didn’t recognize so I asked my Wife to help me. We found that the beeping was from the Washer Watcher, our Utility Room Sink was filled with soapy water right to the sensor. Well the sink was backed up and not a drop went on the floor because the Washer Watcher shut off the power to the Washing Machine and stopped the water from entering the sink. When I researched these protective devices most required redoing the plumbing, the Washer Watcher takes 5 minutes to install if that long and is at least $100 cheaper than the more sophisticated devices. This was money well spent.

Works perfectly, easy to install, and has saved my hide
After a couple of basement water disasters of my own making, I finally got smart and ordered one of these. I've owned it for quite a while now, but recently managed to drop a sock in the laundry tub when loading clothes into the washing machine. Needless to say, the sock plugged the drain, so when the water was draining from the machine, it backed up to this device, which did its job and shut off the washer and put out its characteristic beeping sound. It took me a minute to realize what it was, but I was so thankful that one water disaster was averted, thanks to this awesome little device. It worked perfectly as designed.

Works great. No reset button
It was easy to install and works great, but why doesn't it have a reset button. You have to unplug it to reset it

Prevent Wash Machine Flooding
This is a replacement for a 15+ yr old model. I had one flood that resulted when lint blocked the tub drain in the laundry room. Tub overflowed when washer emptied, resulting in a ruined wooden parquet floor in adjacent room. Fortunately our homeowner's insurance covered the cleanup & floor replacement. Then I discovered the "Washer Watcher" and have used one ever since - our old model just outlived itself so needed a replacement. I was very pleased to locate the exact product - won't ever be without one! Highly recommend this product.
