TOPS Hammer Hawk

I just picked up my beautiful TOPS Hammer Hawk and it was instant love. It feels natural in my hand. Gorgeous craftsmanship. It makes me feel confident that this is a lifetime tool. It is balanced and hefty, not too light for heavy duty bushcraft but not too heavy to wear your arm out. Very sharp edge out of the box and precise even flat grind. The excellent Micarta handle is rounded to prevent blistered hands but well textured for a secure solid grip and it rides all the way up the full tang thick slab of steel facilitating different types of grips. I LOVE leather sheaths and these don't disappoint. It comes with a blade cover and a belt frog. Outstanding heavy duty stitching with extra stitching at both ends of the run for stress point integrity. The snaps on the blade cover are industrial grade and hard to close (which is fine by me). They are both made with very thick hard leather that feel as tough as rawhide but pliable enough for the intended purpose. The hammer head opposite the cutting edge will make short work of any smashing tasks you may require. I could go on talking about the resilient steel and the beautiful arrow artwork precisely casted onto the sides of the head but I think I'll stop here (I'm sure you get the point). As for the seller, the product was delivered as promised, well packaged and on time.P.S.- The "made in USA" etched onto the neck of this tomahawk gave me a boner, HOAAAAAAA!!!

Wherever you are, you’ll have the coolest hatchet there with this thing. Great quality, good weight and balance (just feels good in your hand), came razor sharp. This is an heirloom quality tool that will stay around for a very long time if cared for

This is a beautifully made tomahawk. I have used it for all sorts of camp duties and even splitting the rib cages of deer that were harvested. It has the right weight and balance for any duty that a tomahawk or hatchet could be used. I wouldn't hesitate to challenge Magua to a tomahawk battle with this Tops tomahawk.Update: Used the tomahawk to help butcher a wild hog harvested at the camp last week. It would have been a challenge for any knife, this cut through bone and connective tissue like it was butter. By the way Magua never showed up, I guess he found out that I had a Tops Hammer Hawk.

This is a very well build tool!! Leather sheath is a bit tight but just like other things you have to break em in with good use…
