Stens Muffler 105-304 for Snapper 7051996YP

Stens 105-304 muffler is a direct replacement for the Snapper muffler model#: 7051996YP. However, neither of these part numbers match what Snapper says it needed for my model mower: M280921B. But I was able to use some deduction after studying my motor (Briggs & Stratton: 28B702, 9HP), and I took a shot. It fit perfectly and I'm very happy with my purchase. Note, my neighbors are happy as well due to the mower being a bit quieter! The muffler does not come with hardware, so I just reused my rusty hardware. Also, there is no gasket, and I cannot tell that there ever was one, so I just installed it without any gasket. Regardless, it was a perfect fit and at this point I imagine it will last as long as the engine.

Fit as described on a 40 yr old (?) snapper with B&S motor. Hard part was getting rusted old bolts out!(Pic show blown-out muffler on top, new one installed)

Fit perfectly and worked great for 5 years. This spring, the weld failed where the j tube is welded into the muffler itself. For the price, I'll buy another one.

I replaced the muffler on a 10 hp Briggs & Stratton engine on a Snapper rear engine rider. This muffler fit perfect and was a great price.

This did work great but I had to get new bolts if it had the option to buy those with it and had something better than a paper gasket for a hot muffler would be ideal
