Clearcast Aquatic Herbicide - 1 Quart: EPA-Approved Formula for Fast, Selective Control of Floating, Emergent, and submersed Aquatic Weed Species.

I used this to clear out a fairly large pond completely overgrown with watershield. Sprayed with a hand pump sprayer-- had to use my paddleboard to reach the center of the pond in a separate application. It took about 3 weeks to a month for everything to die back, but it really worked great, and wildlife was not harmed. The only thing to know is that you'll want to remove the dead stuff as it will continue decaying in the pond. I used a Jenlis weed razor to cut the dead plants off at the bottom of the pond and then had to haul it all out, but it was worth it. Highly impressed with the product. It also worked on a small patch of cattails that I wanted to remove. Used a surfactant as recommended. The only hard thing (besides the physical work of hauling out the cut-off dead plants) was trying to figure out the amount of product to mix with water and the surfactant, as the instructions are quite complex and seem to be geared to professionals, but I muddled through and sort of figured it out.

When applying for a permit, a biologist at the Department of Natural Resources recommended this to eliminate the wild taro growing along the edge of my lake place. I mixed it with a surfactant and sprayed it on the leaves. I was amazed at how quickly and well it worked.

Works pretty good at killing cattails which wouldn't die when sprayed with any other herbicides!!

It worked as advertised. Takes a lot to completely kill the plants.
